Stainless 1/4-28 Screw + countersunk washer ID

Pulled these out of my 1968 Lotus. Definitely not original. They are both very nicely made, stainless, slightly magnetic. Can't find any grading info on what two radial lines could mean. The previous owner was an aircraft mechanic and the car is peppered with various aerospace and Mil Std hardware.
I'd like to know what to look for so I can order some more. Two radial lines.

Edit: Looking through the MIL-HDBK-131A Spec, item 115 the two lines indicate 80,000 PSI screws in the .250 - 1.000 " range. This particular screw is a MS35308

Washer is dimensionally identical to a MS14183C4. Inconel washers would be a hilarious choice... perhaps they were in service on an aero engine and due to be replaced and the previous owner brought them home for his hardware bin

The "I might need it someday" bin is getting out of hand

Found these at the shop. There’s a bit of everything here—Grade 5, Grade 8, some zinc plated, and some heavy-duty rust. You can never have too many spares, right?

Why Do Allen Bolts Strip?

During tightening, Sometimes the socket becomes round. Sometimes the edges inside the hex hole break. Once this happens, normal tools may not work anymore.

Drywall fastener for shelf support

First photo shows the 1/4 inch diameter fastener that I'm needing info about. The others are for context; I suspect the construction company bought this shelving as kits.

Is this just a nail with a very thick head? Can I remove it to reinstall the support over a wall stud? Will I damage my drywall by removing it (I can mud over a nail hole)?

If I can't "safely" remove it, would I be able to find similar support braces elsewhere to put on the stud locations?

Hand for scale... Guess the size?

Found this absolute unit at the shop today. I've seen some big ones, but this one is a beauty.

Identify this nut

Hi everyone,

I have been to all the specialty hardware stores in my area and nobody can source this type of nut for me. I'm turning to the fastener community to try to help me out before I abandon it and look for an alternative.

This nut is being used with a #8-32 3/8th long screw.

Any help is appreciated!

My own fasteners brand

Hello guys, as the title says I run my own fasteners brand that specializes in strips, coils and loose nails as well as staples and drywall screws. We do almost all general fasteners for framers, roofers, siding, drywallers, etc. And some specialized products for those trades as well. We’re new in the big market, we used to sell and mostly test our products with local tradespeople in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta and we’ve gotten excellent reviews about quality and price, and now we’re trying to expand our reach to other cities and countries. Me being a dropout and tradesperson all my life have no idea how to target bigger stores and trade companies. Does anyone have any tips for me? Appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you.

I’m not sure what it’s called I’m not really a craft person, but this fastener is part of a furniture but i need to remove the top but it’s stuck and won’t get out. I hope this is the right subreddit

20 TPI, Pitch 1.25 mm, 30.9 mm OD, non tapered. It's on the end of a bell from a Swedish made train horn that was probably made between the 50's and the 70's. Other bolts on the horn are UNF but one small screw I also can't identify.

I am trying to find what I can only think to call a "slotted socket head cap screw", but I havent found anything. They may have been a custom part. They also appear to be semi-shallow, but that doesnt matter.

What is this screw-in metal peg/knob called?

Trying to find this specific hardware piece used in a bear deterrent electric fence system. It's a grey metal cylindrical knob that screws directly into wood trim. The electrified bungee wire simply hooks over it. Not looking for plastic electric fence insulators. What is this piece called and where can I buy it?

I have a set of bar stools that were included when we bought our home. One of them is missing a foot, which I’m looking to replace.

From what I gather, it’s just a screw with a rubber cap glued onto the end. This was the best picture I could do - sorry if it kinda sucks!

First, the screw is likely metric, as it was made in China (and likely just a cheap Amazon buy). From what I gather, it’s an M6 with a 15mm length. The threads, however, are throwing me and I can’t find anything matching. It looks like, for every 5mm, there are 4 threads. Is that mean this is M6-0.66x15?

Second, and maybe not the place for it, but anyone have any recommendations for rubber caps for screws? They don’t have to be perfect matches - you can’t buy just one screw and one rubber cap
anyway.

Thanks!
