Booking Note Contradictions

Hello everyone! Surveying the booking experts playing TEW IX again.

Does anyone know which Booking Notes supersede which notes, if at all? If All Out Match and Slow Build are added, are they both ignored or is one overruled? Another example would be using Steal The Show but also adding Slow Build for say a 15-minute match - does Slow Build get ignored because STS automatically triggers All Out?

If there is a hierarchy of notes, can you have both Stunt Bumps and Crazy Bumps for the same Worker? What about adding a focus of Domination for one worker but also adding the Open Match note - would Domination be canceled out  or can you have it both ways and 'shine up' the squashed Worker's rating?

There are some warnings for contradictory notes, for example, you can't have a Work be both the victor and loser, but for note that pass that warning, is there any effect or do the contradictions get thrown out?

What has been your experience and insights?

Here comes the Money save

Recently finished my first yearwcw 2001 hctm and my 4 favorite storylines of 2001. (Please comment your favorites as well)

+ The rise of "The Threat" Lance Storm who won the US title and later ended Booker T's 220+ day run with the World Title winning the belt and defending in against all comers (face or heel) he is the hottest tweener in the company right now.

+ the rivalry of Rob Van Dam and Curt Henning that lasted most of the year. They had a very matt hardy/mvp anything you can do type of rivalry, they even won the WCW Tag Team Championships for a few months before ending in a 30 minute Ironman match at Starcade that RVD won.

+ Monty Brown's dominant streak leading to him winning the TV Title and holding an open challenge the whole year (except the one week where Shark Boy got him with a fast roll up but he won it back the next week in a squash) before losing the belt the 2nd time at Starcade to Rey Mysterio.

+ The Legacy (Dustin Rhodes, BG James and "The Prince" Brian Lawler) who decided to declare war on anyone not a 2nd generation star. They won the tag belts (James and Lawler, lost them to RVD and Henning) and Dustin won the US belt (from Billy Kidman) and still holds it walking into 2002.

Rebooking ECW the right way

Ive already lost Sabu, Lance Storm (Daniels replaced him in Impact Players) and now, Awesome is leaving. Nearly lost Masato Tanaka as well.

I may have been able to sign Randy Savage to ECW in the big year of 2000. I have no plans for him but I want to see how high of a match rating RVD can carry him to.

PWS: Mod to make economy more realistic?

So, I love Pro Wrestling Sim. I'm obsessed. There's just one major problem, in my experience: It's way too easy to make money. Once you have enough TV deals available to you, you can book a Wrestlemania-level event every week and make insane money. The money from just a few PPVs makes the merch earnings laughable, too.

(I know it's in early access. Ideally they'll fix the game so that audiences reject it when you throw a massive PPV every single week, but for now, it's a problem.)

It's frustrating that the only thing holding me back when running a Monday Night Wars save is if I intentionally handicap myself, vs. actually being forced to make tough decisions and take risks with no safety net. Are there any mods or tweaks that make the economic aspects more challenging/fix the TV deals?

Roman went on hiatus in June but I had some big plans for him in 2027. Do I have to a whole year for him to come back?

Fifth Anniversary Show of RAINFALL Pro Wrestling, my L2G promotion, has concluded!

RAINFALL Pro Wrestling has celebrated its fifth anniversary with its self-explanatory Fifth Anniversary show, with all the gold in company on the line alongside some personal rivalries coming to ahead within 2,5 hours of pure action! Broadcasted on IndependentWrestling.TV and newly formed RAINFALL Network, the show attracted 5.773 fans on the Idaho Central Arena.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

In the pre-show, most of the big stars, alongside the Young Lions of RAINFALL's roster have demonstrated their skills in front of the fans only present in the arena who made up the biggest crowd the company has seen to date, all earning their Anniversary Show paychecks. Performances of the young lion Rachel Tanner, Xena, Michael Oku, newly turned heel Schaff and veteran YAMATO has garnered the most acclaim in their respective matches.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

When the cameras have opened and the show properly started, the acting General Manager Christian Cage has opened the show, welcoming everyone to the Fifth Anniversary Show, second Anniversary show under his reign and no doubt a success even grander than the previous one. He ran down the card and announced that a new championship belt, called RAINFALL Westside Championship, would find it's owner in RAINFALL 57 the next month in December in a big Battle Royale! He got interrupted by the owner of RAINFALL Pro Wrestling and its previous General Manager: Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs congratulated Christian and they popped a champagne together.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

The opening match brought a former RAINFALL Women's Champion Hyan and the former NXT star Lainey Reid against each other in the latest installment of their rivalry. Lainey had made her debut by constantly antagonizing Hyan, calling her old and soft who lost her previous villainous edge after giving birth. With their first encounter ending with Lainey intentionally getting herself disqualified to beat Hyan further, proving a point to her, the rivalry only grew further after Lainey took their second match-up by using a foreign object. This time however, Hyan finally got her win back after Lainey's cheating attempt by thwarted by Hyan's day-one frenemy Vertvixen. Is this going to be the end of the rivalry or will Lainey have more to say?

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Then we cut to our backstage interviewer Lulu Pencil, who interviewed Motor City Machine Guns, who have made their RAINFALL debuts last month after defeating The Bollywood Boyz to qualify for the Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Title match for the Anniversary Show. The Guns iterated that they wrestled around the world and won around the world. They promised that RAINFALL will be no exception.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

The former tag team partners of Wild Hunt faced each other in the second match, Ricky Knight Jr. who had exploded the former RAINFALL Tag Team Champion tandem by turning on Artemis Spencer after their loss to The High Rollers Table in the qualifying match. Knight Jr. took this one home after a very good match, blasting Artemis with a chair-shot to pick up the win.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

The next interview belonged to our current RAINFALL Women's Champion Nicole Matthews, who has only recently won her title after defeating the previous champion Yuki Kamifuku first in a non-title match, then in a title match and then in a title defense. Matthews says that her opponent today, Syuri, is the toughest challenge anyone can dream of in RAINFALL. She has never beaten Syuri before but there is a first time for everything.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Speaking of Yuki Kamifuku, it was time for her to finally face off against her former House of Vanity underling in Viva Van. Viva Van and her stablemate Raychell Rose's collective faults have led to Yuki Kamifuku's support system collapsing and her dropping three straight matches and title to Nicole Matthews. But only Viva got the blame and when Viva tried to stand her ground, Raychell Rose also joined Kamiyu in assaulting their former friend.

This culminated in a one-on-one match where Raychell Rose's attempt at spraying Viva Van backfired after Van ducked and Kamiyu got the brunt of the attack. Van picked up the pin after that to defeat her former leader!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

The former RAINFALL World Champion El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. came down to the ring, reminds us that he promised he'd honor the Anniversary Show with an open challenge. His challenge was answered by Jimmy Uso, who had made his RAINFALL debut last month in a failed effort to aid his cousin Roman Reigns in a tag team contest against Kevin Blackwood and his debuting partner WALTER.

Jimmy Uso brought one hell of a challenge against the former champion in a match that surpassed way beyond expectations to being one of RAINFALL's best matches in it's 5-year history, but still ended up falling short once more with the Mexican picking up the victory against the cousin of a man who has ended his world title reign.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

The RAINFALL Tag Team Championships had a turbulent time lately. The champions Midnight Heat (Ricky Gibson & Eddie Pearl) had lost the titles to The High Rollers Table (Zicky Dice & Ricky South) with Pearl's foot being on the ropes by the time Dice pinned him with the referee Chris Wiggins missing the detail. Midnight Heat and their manager Maryse's attempts at arguing the referee had yielded no result, but acting GM Christian Cage decided that it was a controversial finish and vacated the titles, declaring that a new champion would be crowned in the Anniversary Show in a 4-way tag match, with every single team in the match having to earn their way through with a qualifying match.

We have already stated the paths of Motor City Machine Guns and The High Rollers Table, while Midnight Heat had defeated Peacekeepers (Yuki Iino & Shotaro Ashino) and TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr. & Kosei Fujita) easily dispatched The Amerikan Gunz (Ethan HD & Mike Santiago) in their own qualifying matches.

The four teams faced in a fast-paced and action-filled match, with Zack Sabre Jr. tapping out Eddie Pearl to bring TMDK their first ever RAINFALL Tag Team title gold!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

The bout for the RAINFALL Women's Championship brought two former rivals together once again, with Nicole Matthews taking on Syuri, with the roles of face champion and heel challenger having switched since their last affair.

Matthews won her title by besting Yuki Kamifuku, not once but twice and then defended it by doing it a third time. Meanwhile, Syuri has teamed up with Zara Zakher to win the first ever Tag Wars Tournament for women, only to have to face her in a Contendership match after both women chose to go with the 'Steal' route at the end of the tournament's infamous Split/Steal gambit segment.

Syuri barely survived Zakher and eked out the victory with a roll-up to secure this match, which also proved to be a struggle for the former champion, yet she managed to beat Matthews once more and became the first ever two-times RAINFALL Women's Champion ... only for her celebrations to get cut short by Zakher, who attacked the new champion and proved that she is nowhere near finished with Syuri.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

And then, it was time for the main event. The undefeated RAINFALL World Champion Roman Reigns faced a day-one RAINFALL star and a former RAINFALL World Champion himself in Kevin Blackwood, a match that also served as a rematch from Fourth Anniversary Show, where Roman Reigns has overcame Blackwood, trying to establish an early dominance in RAINFALL's landscape by beating its former world champions. That dominance have only grew as the Tribal Chief made himself the number one contender to then champion El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. before their first match went to a 30-minute time limit draw. Their rematch saw Reigns take the title in a brutal Last Man Standing match before stabilizing his reign by defeating his Luchador opponent in a 60-minute Iron Man match with a score of 3 to 2, that took him a last minute low blow and a Spear to secure. He tried to inflict further punishment on the former champion after the match but got stopped by Kevin Blackwood, who officially turned face for the first time in years by stopping Roman.

Blackwood had his own dirty chapters in RAINFALL's history, after losing his chance at being the first ever RAINFALL World Champion to the brutal brawler Schaff, he found the solution in turning heel and joining forces with the then tyrannical authority figure Jimmy Jacobs. After a lengthy world title reign that span across nearly 2 years, he has dropped his title to JAIDEN at Third Anniversary Show and remained in upper mid-card purgatory until it was time to turn into a good guy once again and defend the company he had been since day one against Roman. They faced each other in a tag match in last month's RAINFALL show that ended with Blackwood's side victorious, so the question of if Blackwood can make Roman taste his first defeat remained in everyone's minds.

The match was near perfect, considered RAINFALL's best ever up until this point, building up slowly to a perfect crescendo at the endUnfortunately, Roman Reigns and his cheating ways have prevailed once again as a ref bump led to Roman blasting Blackwood with the ring bell before pinning his opponent just before the 30-minute time limit had hit. The Tribal Chief closed the show with his hand raised and under scrutiny after another of RAINFALL's heroes had fallen at his feet, bringing the Fifth Anniversary Show to an unforgettable end!

What if Will Ospreay joined NXT in 2018: PART ONE

This is a story I’ve wanted to tell for a while, I’ve got a lot of words and a lot of love in this story here.

I’ll post a sample of part one below but the full part one of this booking will be in the link! Part Two will come in about 48hrs. Enjoy!

——————————————————————————

PART ONE: AERIAL ASSASSIN

On April 1st, 2018, Will Ospreay would have his last match in NJPW, losing his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship to Marty Scurll. Having wrestled for the company for the last 2 years, it was time for him to move onto the stage of his career.

\-NXT 2018 Theme Song Here-

It’s April 11th 2018, We are one week removed from NXT New Orleans 2018. Adam Cole is the inaugural NXT North American Champion. Undisputed Era are the new Tag Team champions after Rodrick Strong turned on Pete Dunne and Aleister Black has just claimed the NXT Championship. Truly peak NXT.

April 11th, NXT!

Rodrick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly enter William Regals office, Rodrick is looking for a match. Regal however, is on the phone. He finishes his call and lets Strong speak.

Rodrick: “Regal! As the newest member of the Undisputed Era, it want to celebrate tonight and I thought what better way to do that than by breaking some backs, you got a match for me tonight?” Big smiles on Strongs face.

Regal: “I agree. Rodrick, despite my disgust at what you did to Mr. Dunne at Takeover. I can’t fault you for it. Now, I just got off the phone with NXT’s newest signing and he was meant to be here for Takeover but there was some international travel issues. Anyway, he’ll be here any second and would love to have a match tonight. So go and get ready, because you’re in tonights Main Event!

Kyle: “You want him to fight some rookie, new signing? This some joke?” Kyle and Rodrick share a laugh together.

Regal: “I assure you, you’re not facing a rookie tonight. Now go. Piss off.” Regal smiles as they walk away, mumbles about who it could be.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Rodrick comes down the ring, Tag Championship around his waist, O’Reilly and Cole by his side. (Adam Cole opened the show vs Killian Dain, in a North American Championship match, so is still feeling the effects of that match. It should also be noted that Ricochet confronted Cole after the match.)

They stand in the ring, awaiting their opponent, when the lights go out. Elevated plays by It Lives, It Breathes and the newest NXT signing is Will Ospreay! Strong and Kyle look very upset, complaining to one another.

WILL OSPREAY VS RODRICK STRONG

THE BELLS RINGS and Ospreay charges at Strong with a HIDDEN BLADE! Rodrick is down! Ospreay goes for the pin! ONE…TWO…THREE!! Ospreay wins in under a minute! Ospreay turns to the crowd to celebrate but Cole and O’Reilly attack him from behind. Adam Cole continues the assault while Kyle checks on Roddy. That’s when Ricochet comes rushing down the ramp and into the ring, hitting a flying knee strike on Kyle and then slides under a Superkick from Adam Cole, only for Ospreay to run and jump off of Ricochets back and hit a HIDDEN BLADE on Cole!

Rodrick and Kyle drag Cole of out the ring and help him to his feet. Ospreay stand in the middle of the ring staring them down, then turns around to see the man to his left, an old friend, Ricochet.

TWO WEEKS LATER

Two massive matches tonight on NXT, In the main event, Ricochet challenges Adam Cole for the North American Championship, but first, Will Ospreay will face Kyle O’Reilly in our opening bought.

WILL OSPREAY VS KYLE O’REILLY

Ospreay charges at Kyle, looking for another quick Hidden Blade finish but Kyle ducks it and hits a German Suplex on but Ospreay lands on his feet. Kyle goes for a head kick, Ospreay pushes it away and looks for a Superkick but Kyle ducks under it matrix style and grabs Wills foot for an ANKLE LOCK! Ospreay doesn’t drop to the ground and his uses his other leg to kick Kyle away and into the ropes. Kyle stops at the ropes and Ospreay rolls into the centre of the ring. Both men stare one another down.

As the match goes on, Kyle and Ospreay engage in a lot more technical wrestling with Kyle having the advantage and Ospreay struggling to keep up, having only small flurries of offence before Kyle shuts it down. Kyle would target Ospreay arm, trying to neutralise the Hidden Blade.

Towards the end of the match, an exchange of kicks would give Ospreay the advantage as he uses his quick pace and intensity to take Kyle off his feet, kicking him into the rope where Kyle would fall threw the middle rope and propel himself back into the ring looking a clothesline, instead HIDDEN BLADE and Kyle is down, Ospreay is hurt, slow to cover. ONE… TWO… T- Kyle kicks out!

In the end, Ospreay is in the corner and Kyle charges at him, hitting a flying forearm smash. Kyle turns and Ospreay grabs him around the neck, looking to choke him out.  Kyle reaches for the referee and grabs his hands, the referee pulls himself off and as he does, Kyle hits a low blow on Ospreay. He  falls back, leaning against the middle rope when Strong hits him across the face with his title belt! Kyle turns and lifts Ospreay back up in the corner, hits a forearm to the back of his neck and then a German Suplex pinfall! ONE….TWO…. THR— OSPREAY KICS OUT!

Kyle is furious and gets into the refereees face, while he does this, Rodrick drag Ospreay towards the floor and drapes his head over the mat, then hits a running knee strike with the belt in front of his knee and pushes Ospreay back into the ring. O’Reilly pushes the ref aside and goes back to Ospreay, locking him into the Guillotine Chock. The referee check Will and immediately calls for the bell. Kyle O’Reilly wins.

LATER THAT NIGHT - ADAM COLE VS RICOCHET

Towards the end of this match, Ricochet manages to hit a suicide dive on Strong and Kyle, follow by a Panama sunrise on Adam Cole, then he makes his way to the top rope but before he can hit the 630 Splash, Strong is back up and shoves Ricochet off the top rope and he lands funny. Hurting his foot in the process, but Undisputed Era don’t care. The all leap into the ring and attack Ricochet. They hit a HIGH LOW on Ricochet. Adam Cole lowers his knee pad, looking for the LAST SHOT. This is where Ospreay comes running down and slides into the ring, looking for a Hidden Blade on Cole but he leaves the ring, as does Strong and O’Reilly. Medics enter the ring to check on Ricochet, with Ospreay.

Undisputed Era surround the ring and Ospreay gets back to his feet and faces them down, trying to cover for Ricochet.

Regal\*: “That’s enough! Adam! Get your men off the apron and come here!”\* Regal is livid and meets with Adam Cole in the middle of the ramp.

Regal: “I have a Takeover to book for in two weeks, you were meant to be on that show and by the looks of how thing match was going, you’d be facing Ricochet in a rematch for your North American Championship.” Cole laughs and says ‘Oh well’

“Oh well indeed, because now I have to find you another opponent. Because you will defend the title at TakeOver Chicago, and I don’t think I have to look very far to find him.” Regal looks beyond the Undisputed Era, into the ring where Ospreay stands.

Regal continues: ”At TakeOver Chicago, it’ll be Adam Cole against Will Ospreay… For the North American Championship!” Adam and Kyle are protesting this, Kyle claiming he beat him tonight, he can’t be a contender.

“You brought this on yourself boy now piss off!” Regal leaves backstage.

GO HOME SHOW to TAKEOVER CHICAGO

On the go home show, Ospreay is challenged by the Undisputed Era to a 3 v 3 match, if he can find anyone. Ospreay doesn’t really know anyone backstage so after asking a few guys, they all so no way. Ospreay decides to go out there alone. Undisputed Era laugh at him, standing alone in the ring. He takes off his jacket when suddenly, a war horn sounds! The War Raiders are here!

OSPREAY/WAR RAIDERS vs UNDISPUTED ERA

In this match, Ospreay gets to face Rodrick to start things off and maintains the advantage, using Strongs frustration about losing so quickly in their last encounter. Adam Cole tags in, teases the one on one preview with Ospreay but then tags out to Kyle.

In the end of this match, Rodrick tries to get the title belt involved but the referee sees it and removes it from the ring. While he’s doing that, Kyle throws another belt into the ring to Adam Cole and he hits Rowe with the belt. Cole turns around to throw the belt out of the ring but before he can hit the pin, he is hit with a HIDDEN BLADE by Ospreay. Hanson runs into the ring and hits a suicide dive on Kyle. The referee is still arguing with Strong as Ospreay lifts Rowe onto Cole for the pinfall. ONE ….TWO…THREE! Ospreay and War Raiders win.

After the match, Regal does announced that the War Raiders have earned themselves a shot at the Tag Championships are TakeOver Chicago.

NXT TakeOver Chicago

Also on this show. Aleister Black will defeat Lars Sullivan. Strong and O’Reilly will defeat War Raiders. Finally, Tomasso Ciampa will defeat Johnny Gargano in a Chicago Street Fight. BUT FIRST

ADAM COLE vs WILL OSPREAY - NXT North American Championship. (Undisputed ERA banned from Ringside)

This match starts with Ospreay gets a lot of cheers from the local fans. Adam Cole decides it’s a great time to do his Adam Cole bay bay pose because he want’s Ospreay to know he has more fans. Early on Ospreay maintains advantage, simply out wrestling Cole, as he has underestimated Ospreay. The match would soon turn into Adam favour as he find himself on the apron with Ospreay, exchanging kicks. Cole eats a Superkick from Will, but then response with his own. This turns Ospreay and he hits a Pele Kick on Cole. This sends Cole into prime position for an apron OsCutter but NO ONE IS HOME AND OSPREAY hits the apron. Cole doesn’t care and climbs to the middle rope, then hits a Panama Sunrise to Ospreay, on the apron.

Adam would hold onto the advantage for the middle of the match. Whenever Ospreay gets himself into a run of move, he is hit with a superkick. Like when Ospreay hit Cole with a Stundog Millionaire, looks for the OsCutterbut eats a mid air Superkick. With Will down, Cole lines him up for the LAST SHOT! ONE….TWO…- Ospreay kicks out!

Cole is furious as he thought that was enough. He lifts up Will again and lines up another Panama Sunrise. This time though, Ospreay through Cole over his head and quickly hits a Super kick. Ospreay climbs back to the top rope and hits a 630 SPLASH! Homage to Ricochet, ONE…TWO…TH- Cole kicks out! Ospreay fires himself up with the crowd and lines up a Hidden Blade but as Cole turns to face Will, he hits him with a Superkick. Then a poisonrana. Ospreay powers back up like the Poisonrana did nothing to his and hits a Poisonrana on Cole. Ospreay goes back to the corner and hits a HIDDEN BLADE on Cole! ONE….TWO….TH- Cole kicks out again!

In the end, Ospreay and Coles are exchanging forearms, this is followed by Bicycle Kick by, then a Superkick as a rebuttal, pushing Cole into the ropes. Cole looks for a big boot but Ospreay rushes at him with a Hidden Blade! Cole stands still and uses Superkick on Ospreay as he gets closer. Then Cole rushes at Ospreay looking for a Last Shot but it is countered and Ospreay hits a massive clothesline on Adam Cole. Ospreay looks for a Hand Spring Pele Kick but is hit by a Superkick on rotation! Also hit with a LAST SHOT! ONE…TW— Ospreay kicks out at ONE! Cole is in shock, Ospreay catches a Superkick from Cole, then hits a STYLES CLASH, quickly into a HIDDEN BLADE, but he’s not done yet. STORMBREAKER by Ospreay. ONE…TWO…THREE! Ospreay wins!

And there’s more!
