Another piece for the collection!

Just got this, again like previous stuff I’ve got it’ll be going to friends in another country first but glad I’ve got it! Fingers crossed there are physical collectible editions and items for the new game! I’ve seen that for the new Forza they released a collectors controller. Hopefully they will do a run of stuff for fable, there’s definitely a market for physical items, will be great if they do release stuff!

Any known similarities to the old games?

This is not a negative post. I’m an enormous fan of the series and am not yet as hyped for the new game as I want to be and am hoping you can help. I’m struggling because there’s part of me that wonders if it’s just a generic fantasy game that’s cashing in on beloved IP. The trilogy was revolutionary in its time but now there are TONS of slice-of-life open world fantasy games so I’m hoping this one will feel unique, especially since I love Fable so much.

I know the new game will take place on a “different planet” and therefore won’t have direct connections to the trilogy. It also won’t have beloved features like morality morphing. I could be ok with that but what makes it a Fable game?

Do we know if there are Hobbes or Balverines? A similar magic system or hero lore? Possibly a guild? Or is it mostly just supposed to capture the British humor and fairy tale/high fantasy vibe?

In Fable TLC, if you could have your own custom title, what would it be?

I'd go with CombatMultiplier 🥹. Wanna hear it in their accent lol

Delay and rebuild

They need to delay and rebuild this game. Removing morality essentially makes this a non fable game. Why play this game when you have games with the same system that are 100x better? The morality system and the morphing is precisely what made Fable as a franchise unique in the first place.

Its akin to removing the Jedi and the Sith from Star Wars, calling everyone a "generic force user" and still trying to call it Star Wars. As it stands this new Fable just slotted itself in as generic RPG #50,000 and its really sad to see. When this game fails as it inevitably will Microsoft wont blame the real culprit (draining Fable of its uniqueness in the space) they will blame the Fable franchise itself and shelf the IP again for an unforseen amount of time.

Fable 2 Keyboard controls on Xenia?

Hello.
So i was digging through my old games, i have 3 copies of fable 2, however i cannot for the life of me find my 360 console or controllers.
I then downloaded an emulator (xenia canary) to play it, i have set it all up, boots up to menu and i even changed the A button to E on my keyboard so i know it works in game.
The thing is a lot of the buttons don't translate well to keyboard terminology so i was wondering if anyone has changed their 'WinKey Bindings' to keyboard and mouse buttons and has a guide or image they can show or tell me to copy it over so i can get playing.

I live 3 hours from any known store or town that MIGHT have any controller and a 6 hour round trip is not on the menu at the moment.

Thanks.

Original Fable games have increased my want for the new upcoming game

This subreddit made me decide to revisit Fable II and III for a few hours the past few days. I played the crap out of Fable: The Lost Chapters when it was new too. I'm starting to think they are like the movies I loved as a young kid. Rewatching them makes takes away the magic they had back then. The old Fable games are still fun, but as soon as I start a modern game, I can't deny how old the old Fable games feel. It just makes me want the new one more. I think this subreddit is naturally increasing hype for the playground games version coming out.

Fable 2: Alex divorced me... and my stats say I was "widowed"?

Hello everyone,

I ran into a glitch where, after meeting Theresa and Hammer in the Guild Hall and being told to find Garth, I was unable to sleep with my husband Alex. He became so annoyed that, when I returned to Serenity Farm, he divorced me (and took our daughter). However, when I checked my stats, they say I'm now also widowed.

Did Alex die returning through the Demon Door? Is my daughter gone forever?

Thanks.

Fable 3 legendary weapons on Xbox

Hey everybody, I've recently gotten back into Fable 3 and am aiming to finish all the achievements I never got as a kid. One of the ones I need are the legendary weapons and I was wondering if anyone still plays this game on Xbox and could help me out, or just wants to play together.

Fable TLC thoughts

So I just finished fable once more but this time as a 32 year old and I have some thoughts

The first thought was why nothing was done with the broken bridge in the greatwood area. It’s a shame nothing was done even if it was for a chest. I would have loved to see the bridge repaired after a time jump that takes place in the game.

The second came later in the game, I spent the entire game returning to my spouse to give them gifts and flirt and it was something I enjoyed doing. Once you complete the game I noticed the spouse now only says “oh it’s you” and other dismissive things. I also noticed nobody has hearts above their heads and nobody is responsive to any form of flirting.

The third was after completing the game the guild master just looks at you. I understand there wouldn’t be much for him to say after you’ve completed the game however I found it strange that he doesn’t have any dialogue given the relationship you form with him.

As this was my favourite game growing up I guess I just wish there was more to do in the game after the main quest line. The smaller quests are easily completed after the main story is done so they are done in a few minutes. As I have completed the game and all of the quests I have started to purchase all of the properties to give me something to do so I can spend more time in the original world of Albion

This will always be my favourite game so I have no negative thoughts about the game. Is there anything you wish they had expanded on in the original game?
