International volunteer — how to handle accreditation/uniform pickup?

I’m volunteering for the Kansas City Fan Festival and will be arriving in the US on June 23rd/24th since my first shift is on June 25th. Flights are already booked accordingly.

What’s confusing is that the currently available accreditation and uniform pickup slots seem to end on June 7th, which doesn’t really work for international volunteers arriving closer to their shift dates.

Has anyone dealt with this before or received guidance on:

  • late pickup options after arriving
  • proxy pickup by a Volunteer Lead / Workforce Manager
  • pickup before first shift

Feels like there should be a standard process for international volunteers in this situation, so curious how others are handling it.

Has anyone else had difficulty with booking actual shifts for their volunteer spot? I received my email today indicating my FIFA World Cup 2026™ volunteer shifts were available to book, but when I follow the steps it simply lists no sessions or dates available? I created a service ticket, but no idea what else to do, and worried all the decent shifts will be gone by the time it resolves. I tried the app as well as multiple website browsers to no avail.

My wife and I recently booked our shifts and are looking for some cheap rooms. Havent had much luck, wondering if anyone has had better options? We may camp out in the car and get a 1 month lifetime membership to shower and hangout the days we're there. Thanks in advance!
