The bag of choice changes based on the occasion. If it's regular office, I take the Skybags Chester Pro03 that I have modified a bit. If it's some important meeting/event where I must look professional and have to wear a suit/jacket, I carry the EUME Commute messenger style bag.

Work from home full-time, so I've got a very specific carry that I refuse to compromise on:

- 16" laptop + charger

- MX Master 2

- Occasional low-profile keyboard

- Sony XM5s

- 2 journals + stationery

- A book (300–400 pages, always)

- Wallet, glasses

- Water bottle

- Energy drinks

- Some skincare

It's a lot, I know. But I've seen people carry this and more in well-built bags on EDC YouTube and it's clearly doable with the right one.

Budget is flexible if the bag is actually worth it

I'd rather buy once.

Huge shoutout to u/Maleficent_Data5763 for being such a solid guy in the EDC community. He runs an awesome Instagram page with some seriously clean and aesthetic clicks, and you can tell he genuinely knows his stuff when it comes to everyday carry.

I needed a hook loop for my pouch,car keys, and daily carry essentials. and he came through with a KeyUnity titanium hook with a really sick graphical design and he even gave it to me as a gift, which was honestly unexpected and super appreciated🫶

Overview: it’s 4:42 am today when I’m writing this post and the images attached are of yesterday. It was exactly at 4:43 am when I had had enough with being depressed and smoking myself to an empty box, I decided to go out for a cup of tea. However as I was getting ready, I decided that I need to use that camera that I bought to impress people around me and tell them how cool I am. doesn’t this thought just fit on what happened with SAK’s. lowkey just wondering, haha.

I ordered this multi-tool from Amazon from a seller called Calldrishe, not expecting a lot, but was pleasantly surprised when I got a Traveler multi tool.

This is a very high quality tool, and after looking up the brand, looks like it comes from the usual major factories manufacturing for Rocktol, Bibury, Mossy Oak etc.

Pros:

• The pliers are well built, and look sturdy, and have a spring.
• It comes with a mini-knife, slightly longer than a Victorinox alox blade (by around 5mm or so). The knife is very sharp out of the box and is also serrated.
• The saw is small, but sharp.
• It has a cross hatch and single cut file. Not too aggressive.
• Besides the usual bottle opener, it comes with a fire starter and whistle combo.
• With these multi tools, they come with a set of Philips, Flat and Hex bits. Very useful.
• The nylon pouch is pretty sturdy and features a belt loop.

Cons:

• I keep running into a problem where the inside pocket of the pouch for the bits catches against the main tool so it's not a smooth process putting the tool back in.
• Lacks scissors (but that is available in the more expensive Traveler tools).
• The saw length is small, so it might be an issue if you really need a saw as one of your main edc tools.
• No can opener.

This is not a paid review. I see people trying to get cheap and low quality multi-tools and I find the Traveler brand has a bunch of different tools, now available in India with different sellers that offer much better quality at a great price point.

I’m looking for a bag pack under ₹3,000 (not big and bulky). I’ll be packing headphones, skincare products, a towel, three to four slim books, stationary, wallet, charger and a laptop in a hard case so I don’t need a laptop sleeve (it's still fine it has one). I’ll also be carrying a litre of water and breakfast and lunch. Could y'all recommend a good bag based on your experience with products?
