I kinda disappointed after seeing the benelux rework

In Belgium btw, like, where's Charleroi? Brugge? Antwerps and Brussels only got a couple of landmarks and that's all, they seem to be given all the attention to Amsterdam and Luxembourg, bummers...

You guys follow speed limits?

I just started playing this game and always followed the speed limit, couldn't go over 90 cuz it was locked, but I was mad i couldn't speed up and get faster to the places then i saw, i could unlock the speed limiter and Also disable the traffict fines and I did so, now i be going 120km on every highway and speeding through every red light, it was fun at the beginning but now i lowkey feel guilty and im feeling it takes some of the realistic adge to the game, so how you guys play your game?

All the gameplay clips here are with ATLEAST snowymoon or with some other paid mods aswell, but as soon as someone mentions snowymoons name everyone says its bad or not worth it, can someone explain me this?

950.000+KM.. road to 1 million

Almost 1 million, what about you guys ? Let me see how much you drive lately.

Apparently after full restoration my AVG Fuel Consumption went to 0.0 ? Or maybe the dash glitches due to mods ? Never saw it before.

Hey everyone!!

I built a small desktop tool called ETS2 Live Radio Editor to make custom internet radio management in Euro Truck Simulator 2 a lot easier., it's free to use and open-source!

The main reason I made it is simple: editing live_streams.sii manually, hunting for working stream URLs, and setting up relays can be a bit annoying and technical, especially if you just want to get your favorite stations working in game without headaches.

So this tool was made to help with that.

What it does

  • lets you manage custom radios in a visual interface
  • helps search for stations from an online catalog
  • syncs the radio list to ETS2 automatically
  • uses local ffmpeg relays so radios can play more reliably in game

How to install and use

  • download the latest release from GitHub
  • install or open the app
  • on first use, click Import from ETS2
  • add/edit your stations
  • start the relays
  • open ETS2 and use the radios in game

If you decide to try it, I’d really love your feedback. Bug reports, suggestions, usability feedback, and general impressions are all super helpful and will help improve the tool over time.

Since I don't the money to pay for the MS Certification, when you open the setup.exe, the windows will show the Smart Screen popup, but this is no malware, it's open source and you guys can inspect all the files there!

Thanks a lot for reading, and I hope it helps make radio setup in ETS2 a little less painful

So I'm from Romania and have been living in Romania my whole life and was quite excited in 2022 when i could finally get my hands on this DLC and the Going East one for connection (not my best purchase, i find myself fast traveling whenever possible to avoid it either way) and having driven through it multiple times since then I have made myself a pretty good idea of the good and the bad parts of it (atleast in Romania, can't judge it in Bulgaria and Thrace as I haven't been there and therefore don't know what those areas should look like).

Pros:

- decent textures, some are kind of lacking in certain areas but overall they are quite close to the newer DLC's, or atleast as close as it gets for an expansion released almost 7 years ago;

- great representation of the Braila-Smardan river ferry (next to Galati on the in-game map), adds a nice touch as the bridge over the Danube didn't exist back when the map was made;

- the bridge from Giurgiu to Ruse (BG) is very well made and actually looks a lot like the real thing (especially the traffic lol);

- highways are kind of nonexistent but that's to be expected as most of the highway system was opened around 2019 or after (including the A7, DX12 expressway, A10 and so on), and where they exist they are pretty accurate, especially the A2 around Cernavoda with the bridge over the Danube and the border crossing at Nadlac into Hungary on the A1. there is also a very cool detail i noticed while going around with the freecam on the A1 between the interchange with the A6 and Hunedoara, right where that under construction segment is (where you have to get off, go through a national road, get back on again) — there is actual asphalt between rhe interchanges, which actually follows the real life path of the still under construction segment, with construction equipment and stuff that wouldn't otherwise be visible so props to whoever put that there;

- some time ago (last year i think) there was a second connection into Cluj added (closer to Targu Mures, right where the DN1 and A3 intersect), which is a really good addition as it was quite the pain to enter the city coming from that direction;

- the mountain roads are absolutely gorgeous, and the Bran village and castle are spot on;

- nice details in the southern Bucharest industrial area with the really well modeled metro train in the metro depot;

Cons:

- there are a few cons that have been repeated and repeated all over again by people criticising the area so I'll just leave them here: lack of alternative roads, big gap between galati and brasov, important towns scrapped in favor of small villages, significant industrial/historical cities ignored (Tulcea, Oradea etc.), inconsistent scaling (Brasov is larger than Bucharest), considerably lower road network density compared to other DLCs. might be some others but i can't really remember them;

- the road between Cluj and the Bors 2 border crossing randomly turns into a highway (A3) as far as I'm aware, which is really not the case IRL, where the DN1 coming from Cluj leads into Oradea (not even in the game), where you either go through Bors 1 (not a highway border crossing) or you go north through the DN19 and get on the A3 segment between Bors 2 and said national road (not the case in-game), as the DX16 expressway connecting Oradea to A3 and Bors 2 wasn't a thing in 2019;

- the A6 can barely even be called a highway as it turns into a single carriageway pretty much instantly after branching off the A1 at Lugoj, which it eventually does IRL but just before intersecting the Lugoj Bypass;

i'll edit the post if any other things come to mind
