Basically what the title says.
With the means to spend, do people here are okay spending on luxury stays in India or do you just prefer travelling internationally and spending there?
I’m planning to start a network of slow living farm homes and position them as luxury experential stays. So I wanted to understand if you would prefer travelling and staying at such places within India or have an international expedition instead?
While we are on the topic, I also want to understand,
- How do you define luxury stays?
- Is having a pool or a view mandatory, in your opinion?
- Or, is exceptional service, all inclusive incredible food straight from the farm, and wellness focussed services offered on-site enough?
Asking these questions, because, my model is that I colloborate with land owners, where they bring in land and investment, I bring in brand, demand, experience design etc. Some of the land owners have incredible houses but don’t have a pool. So was just trying to understand how do you define luxury stays? What matters to you?
I’m obsessed with hosting and creating incredible guest experiences, creating spaces of belonging.
Previously, when I hosted, it was mostly budgeted, or even free, like when I used to host in my van-home, which I lived in for three years.
But each time, irrespective of the guest, I put immense effort into making even simple budget stays feel exceptional. Over time, that made me wonder what I could create in the luxury hospitality space. So I’m exploring that.
PS: I cannot find a better sub to ask this question, as this sub contains some of the influential and affluent people, so it is a genuine question to understand the needs, so that I can create something amazing. But still if someone feels this doesn’t belong here, please feel free to remove this. Thanks!
