2015 JGC 118k mile issues

Just took it to the dealer because I had oil in the coolant after having my oil cooler replaced by a guy locally. I Was doing a few flushes myself when the check engine light came on for the crank position sensor. Dealer wants to replace the entire cooling system, do "multiple flushes" and change the sensor/tone wheel for $10k? Is it worth it to sell the Jeep to them for 2k and walk away? Or should I try other local Diesel shops in hopes it would be cheaper? Do I try to sell on marketplace for parts? I feel stuck.

Help Motor Locked up during shop repair!

About 2 weeks ago I got a P200A code, so I took my truck to a shop for diagnosis. They recommended replacing the intake. The intake came in Monday and they started the repair. The truck was supposed to be done Wednesday, but after they put everything back together it wouldn’t start.

By Friday they tore the motor back down and told me the engine is now locked up because carbon supposedly fell into a valve and the piston hit the valve. The truck never ran after the repair attempt.

There is also now a pretty noticeable scuff/dent on the fender from what looks like removing the battery during the work.

The shop is now asking me to approve a replacement engine. I have never heard of this happening from an intake replacement and haven’t found many similar situations online.

Can carbon buildup actually cause an engine to lock up like this during startup, or does this sound more like something went wrong during the repair/reassembly process? What are my options? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Smoking from hood, what could it be?. I have another issue with the coolant reservoir

I have this 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Deleted) 3.0 Ecodiesel and today there was smoking coming from the back part of the engine. I’m unsure what it is entirely and how serve it is. I then thought to check the coolant reservoir and it has this milky bubbly type of fluid, doesn’t look like coolant at all. Maybe its stop leak? I work at a dealership showed the tech the picture and he said they put stop leak in it and to just sell the vehicle because it’ll keep giving problems. sb help

Coolant leak on 2020 gen 3

I have a coolant leak that seemed to come from somewhere I couldnt see on my 2020 gen 3. I read online that it's really common to have the coolant line to the turbo leak. But once I got the intake manifold off I don't see that line where everyone says it should be. Does anyone know if the 2020+ models fixed that issue and moved ?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to pull the trigger on a full delete and tune for my 2020 Ram EcoDiesel (Gen 3). I’m officially out of warranty and live in an area without emissions testing, so my main goal is engine longevity and waking this truck up.

Current Plan:

  • Tuning: Looking at a Stage 2 bench flash (likely MR Tuning or EOC).
  • Hard Parts: Full DPF/Cat delete pipe and EGR block-off plates.

A few questions for those who have been through this:

  1. Supporting Mods: Is it worth adding a cold air intake and an upgraded intercooler (like PPE) at the same time? Does it actually help with EGTs and spool, or is it overkill for a daily driver?
  2. Transmission Tune: For a 50-75hp increase, is the trans tune a "must-have" for shift quality, or does the stock ZF8 handle the extra torque okay on its own?
  3. The ECM Swap: Since the 2020+ is a bench flash, how was your experience with the downtime? Any tips for the pre-tune reset to make sure I don't have lingering codes?
  4. Turbo Resonator: Thinking about doing a resonator delete while I'm in there. Any brands you recommend for a bit more turbo whistle without being obnoxious?

Appreciate any advice or "wish I had known" tips before I send my ECM off!

So I have a P26AB code. Checked the wiring and it all looks solid.

Mopar and stealership want $550 fricken dollars for this (mostly) plastic part.

Aftermarkets range from $95 to $370.

Anyone try aftermarket? Any experiences? Good, bad or ugly?

My Jeep Willys is in the shop waiting on some back ordered parts to be shipped out from Jeep.

I believe the big hold up is the timing cover gasket.
I’m also replacing the upper and lower oil pan gaskets.

Anyone else dealt with this recently?
I’ve been waiting 4 weeks already, just for the gaskets to ship. I’m not sure how much longer it will take but I’m starting to lose patients.
