Finishing songs
Need help I feel like I can make cool sections of a song but no mix down and lacking structure. Almost feel like I should pay for a mentor?

Hi! I know this is a pretty generic question, but I’ve been feeling really lost when it comes to making my own music, and I’d really appreciate any advice on dealing with creative block.
For some context I’ve been learning a bit of piano and harmony for a few years, and I started producing about 5 years ago (which sometimes makes me feel insecure about my progress). Around 3 years ago I got really into dubstep and sound design, mainly inspired by Skrillex and Virtual Riot and also melodic riddimish stuff.
For a long time I focused on making remakes to learn how to use DAWs and Serum, and I feel like I’ve built a quitr decent technical foundation but now I don’t know how to turn that into making my own original music.
For the past few months I’ve been trying to stop doing remakes and push myself to compose, but I feel completely stuck, Idon’t know where to start, I get lost in sound design, I end up unintentionally copying existing tracks and if i try to make anything to ser where it goes i end up producing genres that i dont like because i dont have a main goal from the start. It feels like I don’t have enough creativity or I’m missing something.
Do you usually know what you want to make before opening the DAW? Do you “hear” music in your head, or does it come naturally while experimenting? How did you transition from remakes to making original music?
Any advice would help a lot thxx
Does everyone else get the ads from "industry set or music mentor" or mildly popular producers like B sides that say they can help you become the next big producer? They usually give you a short video explaining how you can do it with buzzwords and then ask you to sign up for a "strategy call" has anyone ACTUALLY uses these resources and had success or do they just want to take your money. I'm so tired of seeing it
I’m a big believer on if the sausage get made, don’t ask how… but like is there a better time or circumstance to use one over the other. They all just make the sound loud right?
