Moving here next month, what are some first places to visit

So we are moving to Dover soon(first week of June) and I am wondering what you would recommend for first places to visit?

First restaurant for dinner

First coffee shop

First hike to take

First non chain stores

First out of town trip should be to where?

Basically what to do the first week in town?

26M. I am going to be living and working in Dover for the next year or so. One of my goals is to get out more and interact with people. Looking for things to do online mainly brings up mom and family stuff so I decided to ask here. I'm mainly looking for things to do like once a week or so with people in my age group. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Edit: This can also extend to the general seacoast area, but of course the closer the better.

Has anyone used the recycling center as an apartment dweller where there is only one big dumpster for everything? I want to recycle but I wanted to see if anyone has experience with just bringing a bin of cans and bottles and boxes with them to the recycling center. Can they take that?
