MISSING HOLLY COLLINSON UPDATED

MISSING | We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 29-year-old missing woman who was last seen in Cornwall.

Holly Collinson, 29, was reported missing by her family in Leicestershire on Friday 10 April.

Enquiries revealed that prior to being reported missing, Holly had travelled to Cornwall – specifically the Newquay area.

Holly was last seen leaving Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro on 31 March at 10.10am.

She is described as a white female, of slim built, 5ft 7ins in height and with blue eyes.

Previously, Holly had long black/pink/red/plum coloured dreadlocks.

However, last time she was seen she was wearing a black coat, black trousers, a short sleeve black Adidas shirt, and had straight dark hair with the upper half of the hair plum to red in colour and darker on the bottom half which was below shoulder length.

Holly has links to Bude, Newquay and Truro.

Anybody who has seen Holly or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call 999 quoting log 733 of 1 May.

Moving to Torquay - Advice Welcomed!

Hello! I (23f) just got a job offer, that I completely cannot refuse in Torquay! I’m looking for advice on the best places to move to (i.e.. what areas of Torquay are the safest), what landlords are like, how quickly the rental market moves and what the parking situation is like. I know literally nobody down there so I would really appreciate pragmatic advice on these areas. I currently live in Glasgow, and from some sub-reddit stalking I’ve seen a lot of people complain about drug related anti-social behaviour etc., whilst I’m keen to live in a safer area, I was wondering how bad it is compared to somewhere like Glasgow? Furthermore, I was also wondering if anybody had any recommendations on how to make friends (preferably female and my age), in or around Torquay / wider Devon, good coffee shops and pubs etc (I’m used to my Glasgow comforts), and beautiful places for days out (such as beaches or hikes). Thank you so much in advance for any help/ tips, I really would like some!

what’s your favorite restaurant in Devon?

can be any cuisine (:

my fav is The Elephant, in Torquay. it’s REALLY amazing but they have way too much fish on their menu to my taste. i do like fish but i like steak more and they usually have only 1 or 2 options ):

what’s the biggest fun a couple in their 20s can have in devon?

we moved from London in july. my bf is actually used to here (it’s a small town called south brent, he grew up here). i just don’t like the lack of things to do, the peace and etc. i miss having some fun. we recently opened our relationship, so at least we can go to some more parties now, which i was really missing, but i’m asking about some more innocent type of fun. we LOVE escape rooms but we did all of them in plymouth and exeter already, which are the nearest cities. i LOVE karaoke (he is kinda shy but he enjoys too), but my favorite style of karaoke is that one on the stage where a band plays for you to sing and idk any here like that. we also love board games. we saw this place in plymouth called Twist Board Game Cafe Bar but we didn’t go yet, it’s on my list. i also love bowling and basically anything else that doesn’t involve sun.

it doesn’t need to be here in the south, it could be anywhere in devon i guess.

ah, i don’t drink alcohol hahah

UPDATE MISSING HOLLY COLLINSON

UPDATE | Police remain concerned for the welfare of a 29-year-old missing woman who was last seen in Cornwall.

Holly Collinson was last seen leaving Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro on Tuesday 31 March at 10.10am.

We are continuing to try and establish her movements since that time and want to hear from anyone who may have seen her when she left the hospital.

She was wearing a hospital gown, a green jumper and trainers with black and yellow bags underneath used as socks. She had a white plastic bag with her and a black guitar.

We anticipate that Holly may have changed her clothing after leaving the hospital, but we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone matching this description or have any information which may help our enquiries.

She may also be using a crutch to assist her.

She is described as a white female, of slim built, 5ft 7ins in height and with blue eyes.

When she was last seen, Holly had straight dark hair with the upper half of the hair plum to red in colour and darker on the bottom half which was below shoulder length.

Since our first appeal we have received a number of calls from the public with possible sightings of Holly but these have so far not led us to locate her. We’d like to thank everyone has had reported information and ask that the public continue to do so.

Holly has links to Bude, Newquay and Truro.

We are also appealing for the public to check any dash cam footage if they were in the Truro area on Tuesday 31 March and for anybody who has seen Holly or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call 999 quoting log 733 of Friday 1 May.

Moving to Dawlish and going self employed?

Hi all! Im a 25/M, currently living on Oxfordshire. I have a decent job doing tree work and have years of grounds maintenance and gardening experience. I’ve recently gone through an incredibly painful break up with a long term partner, that has really given me a meaning/identity crisis. I’m alone in Oxfordshire, all my family are in Dawlish. I’m wondering what the Market is like in the Dawlish area for gardeners? I have the option to move in with my parents and am considering using that as an opportunity to go self employed. Would be interested to hear from people who are more familiar with the area, what’s the demand like for this type of work? Are there a lot of gardeners/landscapers in the area? TIA!

Pub recommendations in Barnstaple

Hello Devonians, a friendly Grockle in peace from neighbouring Brizzle.

I’m staying locally in Barnstaple next weekend and hoping someone can recommend me a pub. I’m after somewhere that does a good roast dinner but also shows the football for the Sunday Premier League finale. Happy to go further afield to Woolacombe or Ilfracombe for suitable suggestions.

Any help is appreciated. Will also post in the Barnstaple subreddit but it’s not highly visited to thought I’d post here.
