Looking for help studying, legality, deliverance, curses, ministries, etc.

Hello, I am trying to escape from a cult that has been harassing me for years since I discovered that their theologians fall apart with the slightest scrutiny.

These pastors and youth leaders haven't stopped speaking ill of me and calling me demon-controlled since I left, and I'm afraid I might be wrong for leaving. No matter how hard I try to have a healthy dialogue with these people, they simply don't want to. The pastor I know got up in the middle of the night just to shout "Blood of Christ" from my window.

Does anyone know where I can study more about these prosperity theologies so I can be sure of my decision? Declaring, decreeing (which I know is called the Word of Faith movement) generational curses, the legality that the devil has, being possessed, etc. I saw someone below post a 1-hour video talking about the topic, but I would like to know where it all originated and how biblical it is.

Even worse, there's a subreddit out there about liberation that makes everything worse.

True Healing

• I found these really good layout of points from another subreddit and the user allowed me to use his bullet points. I thought it’d be helpful for those trying to make sense of the Biblical version of actual miraculous healing. I believe God still heals today! But we are not in Pentecost! It’s not happening for anyone today at will. Otherwise someone with the apostolic gift is neglecting to go into hospitals and nursing homes and heal the sickly there. James 4:17 says Tó know tó do such good and not so it is sin. Please read if you got the time tied to keep it somewhat condensed

Scripture interprets experience, not the other way around

Acts 17:11

2 Peter 1:19

We don’t start with experience and then go looking for verses to support it. We start with what God has said and measure everything else against that.

• The healing miracles of Jesus Christ are immediate, complete, and undeniable

Mark 2:10–12

John 9:1–7

Luke 17:12–14

No gradual recovery, no “lessening,” no ongoing process. When Christ heals, it is finished in that moment.

• These miracles were public and could not be denied

John 11:43–45 — Lazarus

Acts 4:16

They happened in front of crowds, including unbelievers.

• The apostles performed the same kind of sign miracles

Acts 3:6–8

Acts 5:15–16

2 Corinthians 12:12

These were called “signs of a true apostle”

• Miracles served to confirm revelation, not continue indefinitely

Hebrews 2:3–4

Mark 16:20

John 20:30–31

They authenticated the message being revealed

• Miracles cluster around key redemptive moments, not all history

Exodus 4:1–9
