Gujarati Dal, Chawal & Gobi Aloo ki Sabzi
This homely roadside lunch was just what I needed. They also had baingan-tamatar ki sabji and lasan ki lal chutney, but I had been craving this Gujju dal, rice and kobi-bataka nu shaak combo for months and I didn’t want anything taking away from it. And, of course, I drank more shaadi ki dal!
Egg scramble, bhindi aalu ki sabzi, varan bhaat tup limbu ( dal rice ghee lemon) , shrikhand.
Masoor curry ,made from buttermilk so that it can be sour , raw mango piece ( that you can see in the second picture) for extra sourness , and jari is a root vegetable eaten in Chhattisgarh, Orissa and parts of MP
