Root bark vs Trunk bark (AATPRB)

Hello fellow Psychonauts, Trippers and Trippets. I have a few questions regarding root bark vs trunk bark. I have recently purchased a large quantity of of supposedly AATPRB (Acacia Acuminata Typical(broadleaf) Powdered Root Bark). I have been doing an acid/base extraction. I used phosphoric acid solution (PH 3-4) for the acid soak/simmer stage. I have been using this method similar to the DMT handbook by viracoha. I had been doing 1-2 kg batches and getting quite a sub standard yield. What did precipitate out was primarily little clear crystals kind triangular in shape. When I vaped and smoked this they were definitely some sort or triptamine but didn't pack the punch deems usually does. Then there was a 400g pack of bark amongst the rest of the 1.2kg packs that I thought I would do Norman tek with. Then behold... lovely little snow globes finally... I then contacted the bark seller and they said either that was or the rest was and that wasn't trunk bark... Am I getting bad results because I'm too ambitious doing 1-2kg batches or have I been ripped off on my 10kg $4000 bark purchased and been given low yielding trunk bark. Any input even criticism is welcome. Have been a member of this sub for a long time with another account but using a throw away account for obvious reasons.

I finally placed the smell.

DMT has got an extremely particular smell about it and I had an heir of familiarity when I first smelled it, but I couldn’t place it for the longest time I knew I had smelled before, but I couldn’t remember where but now I know. My partner‘s dad is in hospice and dying and yep , elderly people on their deathbed smell of DMT. I wonder if our bodies start to ramp up natural DMT the last days of life or what else it is that makes dying of old age smell like a root bark extraction.

Extraction with Lime

Hey all, a friend of mine tried his first extraction using Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime (Sodium Hydroxide only ingredient) (50g to 50g) and they said the jar looks gray***. Upon research, they found the term "mud pie" referring to that tek.. is that why it's called mud pie?

They always used lye before and wanted to try and make it a little more naturally. They also noted that the jar didn't get as hot as it does for lye.

Any suggestions? Is this normal?

Edit: It's grayish color
