Anyone else unbelievably tired of Lantern Content

Idk if its just the fact that I am not a big Green Lantern fan to begin with but I have been finding these events are getting exhausting with everything being lantern and space focused. Im really hoping whatever comes after this avoid using the lanterns at all and lets us explore some other characters

This game used to be full of people, now it's so empty and it breaks my heart

This is my childhood game that I come back to every couple of years (10+ years of doing this). Each time I came back, there were less and less people. Now the HQ is completely dead and any desire to come back to this game is killed off when I realize that it's so empty.

My main OC Sunfire turns 10 years old soon.

Sunfire, member of the legion of superheroes in the 35th century. Descendant of Kryptonian and Tamaranian DNA.

Visually inspired by the Human Torch and Firestorm. Normally his powers are very weak versions of Kryptonian powers, increasesed durability, speed and strength and he can use fire blasts to cross large distances. Except for his heat vision which is extremely powerful. He also has basic pyrokinesis abilities.

His cells store solar energy which he uses to fuel his abilities however he can expend all his stored solar energy in a short period to power up which grants him full access to all his Kryptonian abilities and his Pyro related abilities are overcharged and extremely powerful. When he runs out of solar energy he is left powerless for a time.

Level Scaling Test Event

Level Scaling Test Event

Hello Heroes and Villains!

Welcome to our Single Player Level Scaling early Beta test running May 12th - May 18th.

Many players have understandably reported disappointment with how DCUO's combat scaling works.

Often referred to as the "Stat Clamp", players see wildly different (and much lower) output numbers based on the content they're playing.

Our initial goal is for players to see consistent values regardless of the content.

Our first attempt can be experienced in this solo instance.

As part of our Beta Test process, we're planning to replace Current Scaling with New Scaling (Beta) after testing and iteration.

In future updates, you'll see these changes rolled out across all content and instances in the game including Solos/Duos/Alerts/Raids and Open Worlds.

For those looking to chase Feats, experience narrative, or just roflstomp old instances, Unscaled will be offered as well in private queue settings.

So buckle in, give us your feedback and enjoy the ride.

We're excited to work with you to make this feature amazing.

Event Details

Experience a new scaling system where enemies adjust to your Combat Rating and compare it directly with the current system, where your character is adjusted to match enemy levels.

This limited-time Beta Test is available through the Event System.

Requirements

  • Characters must qualify for Casual Mode to participate.
  • No buyout option is available.
  • Event Category: Beta Test

To complete the event and earn rewards, players must finish all required challenges on Normal Mode.

Since this Beta Test requires Normal Mode specifically, players who qualify for Casual Mode will be able to access and run Normal Mode for this event, even if they wouldn't typically be able to.

Casual Mode progression will not count toward event completion.

Required Challenges

Solo | New Scaling (Beta)

New Scaling (Beta) JLDC: Town Square Theater

Play a new version of the mission where enemies scale to your Combat Rating to provide an appropriate challenge. Normal difficulty only.

Solo | Current Scaling

JLDC: Town Square Theater

Play the current version of the mission where your character is scaled to match the Combat Rating of the Solo. Normal difficulty only.

In-Game Survey

After completing the event, players will take a survey.

The survey can be completed once per character and is required to unlock an additional once-per-account reward.

Players may retake the survey to provide more feedback, but additional rewards will not be granted.

After completing both the event and the survey requirements, players can claim a one-time account reward:

Single Player Scaling Test Survey Reward Cache

  • 9 Stabilizer Fragments
  • 20 Source Marks

Your feedback is essential to refining this new scaling system.

By testing both versions and completing the survey, you’re helping shape the future of combat scaling across all content.

Jump in, test both experiences, and let us know what you think!

This Is Just the Beginning!

This marks the first of many Beta tests we will be inviting the community to participate in!

Keep your eyes on the Beta Test event category, as new tests will be appearing there as we continue to work on new updates.

Each one is a chance for you to get hands-on with features before they go live and make your voice heard where it matters most.

Your opinions don't just matter to us, they shape what we build.

We are genuinely excited to have the community alongside us on this journey, helping us craft experiences that feel right for every hero and villain out there!

Does it really matter? Clamp test.

Is it me or the clamp test doesnt make any actual difference. Dont feel anymore stronger outside of seeing larger numbers they still die just as easy.

CR 100

I’m freshly CR100 and i have no idea what else to do , it seems like everything is just daily missions and some point and click adventures . How do you people who are 450+ still enjoy the gameplay? what more is there to grind for and be happy doing? any suggestions would be appreciated as this has been my favourite game while i’ve been off for paternity and i don’t want it to die for me yet 😪

My new Fortress lair

Spent the last few days putting it together. Spent about 2250 Source Marks on Sunstone base items. Need to get some more snow themed items during the winter event this Christmas. Cover the rest of the floor in snow paths.

What's your favorite and least fav movement style and why?

I'm curious as to what others think about this. I had the thought while playing a character I had using the skimming movement style.

My favorite is super speed. I love the slight janky feel to the movements and how jumping at just the right movement makes you soar in such a rather amazing way.

My least favorite is skimming I feel like it's a worse flight. It also doesn't ,at least to me, feel good to use.

Bounty Trains

I started playing DCUO a few months ago and found that there is very limited information online to help new players. One of the biggest frustrations was joining bounty groups. I knew they were an easy, weekly method of farming source marks, but the speed at which most groups went through them left me lost.

So first a few tips:

  • Join a bounty group. Watch the LFG chat, ask in your league, post that you're looking for a bounty group in the LFG chat. Just find a group. This will make things a thousand times easier.
  • Be ready to move quickly from zone to zone after you return your quests (for me this means going back to the Orrery Transportation Hub in the House of Legends) for some it means going to their homes.
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions from your group. If no one answers you and you're lost or overwhelmed, find a new group.
  • Make sure your inventory is empty and unless you're waiting on a boss to spawn don't open anything until you're done. You will need the space.
  • If you got lost and missed a boss don't stress it. You can always go do that one later with another group.
  • Keep in mind that some groups will wait for bosses to spawn, some will move on to the next and come back so don't forget to ASK QUESTIONS. Thanager is an example. Most groups kill the boss, go do BOP Metropolis, then return to Thanager to kill the next boss because there is a waiting period between spawn times. Just ask the questions.
  • It WILL be stressful at first, but it gets easier.
  • Remember- It's supposed to be fun!

Boss Quest Givers per location (8 source marks each):

  • Ep 33 Atlantis
    • Loyalist Iona
    • Loyalist Galen

    • Computer hub next to Hal Jordan
    • fly up on the bridge to Robin

    • Follow your group to the next boss and pick up from the computer hub there

    • Black Lightning
    • take teleporter and check with group for location.
    • There is a chance your group will leave to complete the next chapter if they are waiting on the boss to spawn, check with your group.

    • Batman
    • Phantom Stranger
  • Ep 47: Bottled DC

And that's T5-T7 Bounties. I hope this is helpful and if I made any mistakes, please let me know in the comments.

What's the deal with the rampant AI use? It's unnecessary, especially when the affects of it being used are actually detrimental to the environment.

It's been getting increasingly worse the past couple of months. Style showcasing has never needed AI to show off the amazing creativity y'all have, and to be frank, using it severely waters that down.

It's hard to be impressed with outfits when it's coupled with AI images that do nothing to improve it.

It's getting ridiculous.
