How would you finish Wood PC Case?

How would you finish off the wood?

Case out of Multiplex Birch and sanded with 320 sandpaper.

Unfortunately the wood supplier delivered the wrong wood, and after the wood has been lasered, it turn out quite burned/black.

So I had to sand much more than expected and also using the dremel to not sand for ever, hoped I could make the case in one run but that will stay as Prototype, and I will make a flawless second one.

Curious about your thoughts on how to finish the case!

Is this exactly good?

Recently a lot of people answer the question that I asked on my page and I really appreciate it and I have gone to a retail store for the quotation of their custom pc, what's y'all's thoughts? It might be a bit messy mb, all currency base on MYR

Charlie IV is my 4th custom PC build and is used primarily as a workstation for graphic design. My main goal was a lightning-fast, future-proof setup that avoids bottlenecks and prioritizes speed and multithread processing, all with a minimalistic, zero-RGB look.

For the case, I opted for a white Fractal Design North mid tower with tempered glass. This is my second North case, where I used the mesh version in my last build (Charlie III), and though I loved the look of the mesh, increased dust and fan noise were noticeable. Additionally, heat dissipates through the mesh side panel, which could be problematic depending where you place your tower (mine is mounted under my desk, so the heat constantly venting on my legs was uncomfortable). The tempered glass version seems to mitigate these drawbacks.

Under the hood, I’ve got a Ryzen 9 9950X, RTX 5070 Ti, and 64 GB of G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-6000 RAM, all strapped to an ASUS ProArt X8790E motherboard. The OS and apps run off a 2TB WD_Black SN8100 while a 2TB WD_Black SN850X handles daily files. Archiving is done on 2 x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSDs (brought over from my last build) and backups happen on a 10TB NAS drive. This is all powered by a Corsair RM850X 850 W PSU with CableMod C-Series Pro ModMesh black sleeved cables.

To keep everything cool, I use a front-mounted Corsair Nautilus 360 RS liquid CPU cooler. The simple black design, quiet pump and extra-long hoses make it ideal for my setup, especially when using a extra long graphics card. For the radiator, I swapped out the stock RS120 fans for 3 x Corsair RS120 MAX fans to gain increased static pressure with lower noise. These fans are thicker (30mm) compared to the standard thickness (25mm) of the originals, but still fit fine in the North case. 3 x Fractal Design Momentum 120mm fans exhaust warm air out the back and top of the unit.

Thankfully I completed this build right before the global memory shortage started last fall, so prices for many key components, especially storage, RAM and my GPU were significantly less than they currently are.

Hello community I want help from all of you regarding a cooling system I am thinking to add to a rather strange pc-laptop hybrid which I want to make in future. It is going to be a chamber structure is like a building having door as exhaust. Full build is like this

For cpu only:

Open place for air

160x160x25 mm fan 1500rpm cw 0.5mm gap 140x140x25 mm fan 1800rpm ccw 0.5mm gap 120x120x15 mm fan 2100rpm cw 5mm gap 60x60x30 mm cu heatsink Cpu- ryzen 5 5600xt --------------------> exhaust to rear

For gpu only: rtx 3060 282mm lentgh there is two cloumn to cover whole gpu lentgh

Open air

140x140x25mm fan same as above
0.5mm gap 140x140x25mm fan same as above 0.5mm gap 120x120x15mm fan same as above 5mm gap Original gpu heatsink ----------> exhaust rear

  • New build or upgrade? New
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? I have an Acer VG270U P IPS 1440 144hz
  • PC purpose? Gaming, light photo editing, audio editing/post production. Also maybe if I am ever brave enough streaming. I want to play titles like ARK ascended, Baldursgate, and horizon zero dawn. Games I plan on playing are the new fable game, crimson dessert, the new Life is Strange games and Horizon forbidden west. I would like to play on max settings at least on ark and baldursgate (if possible).
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? I am in sweden. Some stores here are Power, Elgiganten, Inet, NetOnNet, Webhallen and Amazon (not every product ships here though)
  • Monitors needed? I would like another monitor, preferably an upgrade but could also be one worse than I have. Just dual monitor so I don't have to tab in and out of discord and game wikis loll. This does not have to be included in the budget but recommendations around 300usd are welcome!!!
  • Budget range? 2000-2500 usd.
  • WiFi or wired connection? I am fine with wired but might be moving in a few years so preferably access to both.
  • Size/noise constraints? Not excessively big but any size is fine. I would like it to be as quiet as possible for the price without affecting performance :D
  • Color/lighting preferences? PINK, white or ANYTHING strawberry themed!
  • Any other specific needs? 2TB of storage. If I should go for an AIO I would like a cute one with a customizable screen if this doesn't affect the price to much. Don't compromise on performance for aesthetics but if aesthetic options aren't a crazy amount more I will go for them :D
