Curve now blocking transactions with Boots

There you have it everyone, Curve is now blocking transactions with a standard pharmacy chain, because apparently buying from a 177-year-old high street business - and a Curve Cashback retailer - is now 'high risk'.

The particularly nice touch with this message was the jaunty 'let us know if there's anything we can help you with' and then them immediately closing the conversation down so you can't ask any follow-up questions, such as 'what?'

I’m traveling internationally my card got frozen 3 days ago but I got a notification in the app to unfreeze it, and it worked since. Today however it just declines now and it says it’s suspended in my Apple wallet again but no notification in the app or anything to why? I contacted them via email and the “live” chat. But was wondering of anyone else has had this before and if so how long it took to resolve

Just a little tip for anyone willing to put in a bit of effort, currently Krak Card are offering 2% cashback for the first month (& lower percentages thereafter depending on your balance) for ANY transactions made with their debit card. Their account has no paywall or fees etc for a regular debit card account.

The major loophole here is that if you've been using your Curve Card to pay for things for the last 90 days, you can sign up to Curve Pro for free for your first month & use Go Back In Time an unlimited amount of times as far back as 90 days & change any transactions you want to be paid via Krak, who class it as a regular payment & give you 2% cashback in your nominated currency (GBP or BTC are available for me) for payments already made.

I'm currently sat at around £22 cashback doing this since setting up by account on Sunday with this method only with no/very few actually new transactions so far this month.

The only real downside is having another account & another debit card to keep track of & you have to pay for the back in time transactions immediately with the Krak Card & it takes a day or 2 to refund via the original method so it only works for those who have a little spare cash to do that with.

Hope this can help at least someone make the most of their Curve card & get some free money!

I set my 6 cashback retailers for Curve Pro (which you cannot change & I have stupidly made multiple mistakes in the choosing process) to get 1% cashback & it's overridden the currently active 2% cashback offer on Iceland & is only giving me the 1% instead. This seems entirely unfair & a terrible way of doing things on Curve's part.

Also incredibly annoying is the fact you can't change the 6 retailers, I selected 2 that I make regular payments to, but I didn't realise/forgot those payments are direct debit payments & don't go through Curve, so they're now active on my account blocking other retailers whilst having no chance of earning me any money.

I’ve used curve in the past and closed my account due to fraud from their side.

Decided to rejoin now Lloyd’s have purchased them, new account yesterday and within hours I get an email to say they’ve frozen my account due to fraud.

I’ve not even used the card or added details anywhere. Just shocking that their security could be this lapse to expose the details already.
