I keep seeing posts accusing Viv of being pro Israel and a twitter post that said that the show stands with israel. Like wtf is going on in TikTok?? I'm out of the loop.

Why are there so many hazbin haters on TikTok?? Like what did the show do to them? They still hating on the show even though I'm pretty sure none of them watched it. Either that or they did watch it and still hate on it and wait for the next season.

Look. I agree that the hatedom of this show is batshit mental. I understand the desire to discuss it. But ultimately, I'm not sure is getting us anywhere.

For instance, recently this sub has been interacting more with a set of Tumblr users who loathe the show in its entirety. This sprung about because of the release of the trailer for Helluva Boss Season 3 and the announcement of Hazbin Hotel Season 5. Fantastic news.

The thing is, as ridiculous as these people are, I cannot see what benefit we're obtaining from going back and forth with them. They're deranged. They write and reblog posts telling us to kill ourselves. They have entire accounts dedicated to bagging on us and the shows because they apparently don't have anything else going on in their lives...? I honestly feel bad for them. But collecting their posts here, it seems to me, isn't convincing anyone of anything. We're not going to convince them that it's simply not that deep. We're not going to be able to have a reasonable discussion because they aren't reasonable people. All we're doing is exposing ourselves to toxic, upsetting content that is making the internet a worse place and which will ultimately take a toll on all of us.

It's easy to look at them as the majority, but the success of the show indicates otherwise. Most people who interact with the show come away with a positive experience of it and in real life people tend to like it or not care. Why are we using our time recycling the same tired, incorrect critiques when we could be celebrating that we have a fun, enjoyable show?

On a Saturday afternoon, I was outside in my backyard letting my dog use the bathroom. Suddenly I hear a voice from the fence to my left. I walk over and see that the elderly neighbor's kid (adult) wanted to chat, so we started talking. Eventually the conversation lead to her mentioning that her son (teenager) is a fan of the show, but a group of kids found out and started bullying the kid. She added that now the bullying has turned into straight up harassment. "They stopped mentally hurting him and now they only hurt him physically. They constantly beat him up until he bleeds, and one member of the group actually knocked a tooth out of his mouth. I'm starting to think that he doesn't like the show anymore. He's not singing any of the songs, he gave me all the merch of the show that he had, as well as the Angel Dust costume that I helped him make." I was furious. I told her to consider putting him in homeschooling (like me) so he could enjoy the show without anyone harassing him for it. She said that she would talk to the school on Monday and then let me know what the school says, so I'll update this post tomorrow to let you all know what she says.
