Hello I am going to a concert in a couple of weeks and would like to record some better audio than what my phone gives me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtpNeiYdsuc
I currently own a Zoom F1 that came with a little lav mic, I bought it some time last year on sale for like 50 bucks, I used to own a Zoom H4N but ended up selling it a while back when we had our baby and went through a manic downsizing of all of our gubs. the F1 seemed like a good compromise to be able to go back out and enjoy listening to nature on our hikes like we used to but just havent had any time to actually use it.
Im open to selling it off and getting something else if the floating 32bit I keep reading about is worth it.
Currently though I am thinking of using the F1 and getting a nice little microphone to go with it to record the audio while I use my phone to record the video. I saw some posts while searching that recommended the DPA 4060 and 4061 but they cost a lot more than I would like to spend for the occasional show I go to.
I own a AT803 Omnidirectional Condenser Lavalier I bought for a project I was helping a buddy with recording a sort of video journal, now i just use it as my PC mic clipped to my headphones, the problem I have with that one is it uses a battery pack and XLR connector, which wasnt an issue with the zoom h4n at the time.
Im curious to know what would be a good setup to get a better version of the video above, small venues up close and off to the side to not be too intrusive to people around me, with a cloth to cover the screen. microphone clilpped to the phone most likly or a baseball cap if that is better
