George Harrison - Art of Dying
album: All Things Must Pass
And wikipeda has some background
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - This is Far From Over
About climate change, with some focus on sea level rise, and live adapting. (lyrics)
Album: I Made a Place
live: London 2026, Brattle 2022 short.
Dave Mason - Shouldn't Have Took More Than You Gave
RIP - 1946 - 2026. Founding member of Traffic.
Maybe it's about overconsumption, maybe it's about the band busting up.
Time Zone - World Destruction (Afrika Bambaataa)
Afrika Bambaataa died last week. He collaged rap into electronic music with Planet Rock.
This is from an old project with John Lydon and Bill Laswell.
David Byrne - Life During Wartime (live)
The footage at the end is recent video from Minneapolis.
He's touring with the dance/music ensemble this year - it's like The David Byrne Revue. James Brown used to tour with a revue.
Gotta love David Byrne.
Chumbawamba - The Land of Do What You're Told
The land of the free
If you don't leave the fold
Southeast Desert Metal - EAGLE (Official Video)
youtube.comDead Can Dance - Death Cults
"Death cults are killing our world." He sings it plain.
This DCD incarnation does appear to be Brendan Perry only. He has a wonderful voice and since he sings words (unlike partner Lisa Gerrard) he is far more collapsist of the two.
He and Ms. Gerrard had an interesting dichotomy, lots of good tension on albums like Within the Realm of a Dying Sun and Into the Labyrinth.
Energy Crisis - King Solomon
Old groovy Blues tune felt kinda relevant today
Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy - Life is Scary Horses
album: We Are Together Again
