Dessert smoke tonight, cheers gents.
Noticed this line seems to get a mixed response on here, interested to discuss.

This was how I finished my weekend. I have been disappointed by this brand a couple of times recently but this one was a bit of redemption for RP with me. It built up really well throughout, burnt dead even the whole way and paired beautifully with the Balvenie double wood 17 (which may have helped with how much I enjoyed this to be fair)
I run a side hustle business selling vintage clothing, twice a month I get in 8-11kg boxes of clothes from Indonesia. I’m located in Perth. I’ve been in the group long enough to know it’s always a gamble ordering cigars outside australia. However what are y’all’s opinion on if I get a couple sticks and some cigarillos put into my box of clothes in the next parcel? Dunno if this is more or less risky. Any constructive comments appreciated Cheers 🍻 THIS IS ENTIRELY HYPOTHETICAL AND NOT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY
Another up and down week but the highs were very high.
Curivari was a cheap no frills smoke. Not much flavour.
Both Don Pepin Cuban Classic and Original were meh. The vegas cubanas and e.r.h were much more to my taste.
I hate Davidoff... but i finally found a davidoff i like. Would i buy another one? No. But the millennium was a very pleasant smoke.
The Padron 50th Anniversary Hammer natural was spectacular. Started a tiny bit bitter but mellowed out. Flavourful, amazing burn, great woody tones. Blew my mind
Late evening snack in Wild West!
Pretty impressed with this smoke, what are you boys on tonight?
Perfect choice for a rather chilly afternoon/night. Big smoke, near 2 hours I think but Plasencia never seem to disappoint in my opinion.
Some people talk to their B&M.
Some people buy only singles or samplers of everything and rarely go back to the same cigar twice.
Some people try to guess based on brand, wrapper, binder, filler, etc. what they might like next.
Some people, once they've found what they like, stick to that and nothing else.
How do you decide what to buy next?
Illusione Epernay robusto.
Smooth, tasty smoke.
Opens rich with cocoa, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee, backed by a natural sweetness. Super smooth but full of flavor. Middle stays consistent, adding some nuttiness and a deeper roasted profile. Final third gets a bit heavier with more earth, espresso, and a touch of pepper. Not overly complex, but very flavorful, balanced, and well-constructed. Easy A to A- cigar for me.
Inexplicable.
This stogie was truly sublime as it was unique.
By far this is now the cigar I measure construction and draw for any future cigar I now enjoy.
I have been waiting patiently for this to happen. Sitting in the humidor for awhile take sure they were at their best. Granite belt country camping and a nice hot fire.
Caldwell Crafted and Curated Long Live the Queen Forbidden Fruit Claro, mellow and smooth so far. Happy days, hope everyone is having a good night.
Highly recommend Santana Rooftop Bar if you are looking for a place to smoke in Melbourne.
Its not too noisy music wise and on a week night (around the 7pm mark) its quiet. Great smoking environment. Drinks are reasonably priced, friendly staff. Fine to bring your own cigars as long as you are buying drinks.
There's not a lot of money to be made on cigars (in Australia, anyway - overseas vendors likely have it a lot better). For what many of them do, it's for love of the game, not the margin to be made.
Some vendors go above and beyond with the experience they give you.
Some vendors always have what you want in stock.
Some vendors are just cheap, and we love them for it.
There's lots of scattered posts and comments praising certain vendors if you search, but let's bring it all together and shout out specific vendors (whether Australian or international) that you find outstanding.
I've tried a few different cigars and have came back to the Pacifico Robusto a couple of times now. I think it's just a bit too mild though, probably my last one. It always seems to burn so well though...
Was a good break from the garden though...
Could be like smoking bark, I’ll keep you posted
