We adopted Japan's holy face mask for the Church of COVID. Should we adopt their other habits like xenophobia and racism?

Ivermectin Update from the CATO Institute

From the CATO Institute - Spring 2026

Reconsidering Ivermectin

Despite a skeptical Cochrane review, the antiparasitic is still a valuable tool for combating COVID.

Mpox is back in SF, remember to implement safe orgy protocols to stop the spread.

Title should be pretty self-explanatory, we can share best practices here and discuss how our brave leader Scott Weiner is going to stand up for our right to have orgies in the middle of a global Plandemic^(TM) don’t hesitate to DM

Do you think anyone survived the winter of severe illness and death without a face covering in Quebec?

Little update on our living situation with the prophet (741777 MBUH)

My dear siblings in $cience, it’s been a while, but I’ve got a bit of an update for you on our living with the prophet situation. I honestly didn’t expect things to keep escalating, but here we are.

As some of you may remember from my last post, things had gotten a little tense between my boyfriend and me, because I put up reminders of our prophet (711747 MBUH) in nearly every room of our apartment. He asked to at least make our bedroom a prophet-free zone, and long story short, I made the sacrifice of relocating the cardboard of his holiness (77417 MBUH)  from the bedroom to .. our kitchen.

Now before anyone judges me, hear me out: I genuinely thought this was a lovely and considerate idea (and yes, maybe also ..  kind of romantic..). I imagined him coming home from work, walking into the kitchen, seeing the prophet and thinking

"Wow, I can’t believe she really did this for me. Now I can finally cook under the guidance of our almighty guardian. This is the perfect place for him!"

I mean, imagine coming home and having that face look at you while you're preparing dinner. How could anyone not appreciate it?

But well .. unfortunately I was wrong. And not just a little bit, but very, very wrong.

Because when he later walked in and saw it, it felt like time stood still for a moment. He stared at the cardboard, looked at me, then back to the cardboard and his face turned gradually into something between shock and disbelief. Finally (after what felt like an eternity) he asked

"Really? You put him in the kitchen now?!?!"

I didn’t know what to say. I was so sure I was doing something good by following his wish to get the prophet out of our bedroom. But before I could even get a word out, he sighed deeply and said

"This is too .. creepy. I can’t cook with him in here"

Creepy? I get that everyone has different.. limits, but I honestly didn’t think a life-size cardboard of a public health hero could be creepy!? After all he‘s just standing there (and, for the record, not even holding a syringe), and looking at you with this calm, judgment-free look in his eyes. How is that creepy? How?! I really don’t get it..

Right now I’m at a crossroads, and admittedly, getting more and more frustrated too. I thought moving him to a more neutral space would, well ..  solve the tension at home, but now it has made it somehow even worse? Half an hour ago I asked him

"Okay, so if the kitchen is a no-go now too, where am I supposed to put him?"

And he just looked at me and muttered

"I don’t know, but it can’t be the kitchen. It’s already bad enough that General Whiskers (our cat) is watching me every time I’m in there; how am I supposed to get anything done with both of them staring at me now?!"

A little side story, back  when the cardboard was still standing in our bedroom, General Whiskers decided to express her disapproval by.. peeing on it. At first I thought the damp spot on his feet was a spill from the humidifier we had left running a bit too long, but when I tried to wash it off (gently, of course), it didn’t go away, so now his left foot has a yellow stain with a subtle scent of cat urine. It’s barely noticeable, but it’s there, and every time I look at it, I can’t help but feel like I’ve failed our prophet somehow. 😔

As you can probably imagine, we‘re now facing another dilemma, because what the heck do I do with him? I’ve thought about moving him to the bathroom, but what if the humidity in there ruins it? This is a limited edition cardboard, it is way too precious to be tossed around like some random decoration..

I really don’t want my boyfriend to feel like he’s in a cult or something (the little altar I set up in our living room is purely for decorative purposes..), but considering that our bedroom is out, the kitchen‘s apparently a no-go now as well, and the bathroom just too risky for such a divine object (I’ve briefly considered wrapping him in food wrap, but imprisoning his holy spirit in some flimsy plastic? That just feels.. disrespectful in so many ways), I’m at a loss at what do do. Do you think I should take him down altogether? Move him to the hallway? Or maybe into our garage?

Pfaithful sanitizing stations

I recently went to a gas station that had hand sanitizing stations mounted on the fuel pumps. They were empty because these idiots haven't refilled the holy sanitizing alcohol gel since 2020!

I can smell Covid AMA

There's so much to unpack here. I had Covid in 2019 before any one else had it and instead of isolating at home I went around town sniffing strangers.
