Hey everyone! It's the 4th Thursday again so we're passing out free food in our parking lot with the help of HCCM! Food distribution will be from 5-7pm at 2001 West New Hope Drive, Cedar Park, TX (Rockbridge Church). If you or anyone you know needs fresh food, send them our way, no income verification and no need for ID.
If you'd like to help, we gather at 4:30pm in the office to start the setup. We always could use a few hands help distribute the food during the event and a few to help take down at 7pm. Come help the whole time or part of the time or for however long you can.
Early voting continues this weekend on Friday and Saturday. Come meet me and several other candidates. We'll be greeting voters at the Cedar Park Recreation Center polling site. I'm running for mayor because I believe Cedar Park residents deserve a city hall that's honest with them, spends their money wisely, and makes decisions in the open. Three other council seats are on the ballot this year, and voters will also decide on fifteen city charter amendments that will shape how Cedar Park is governed for years to come. Whatever you decide in the ballot box, please come out and vote.

The Cedar Park Earth Day Celebration is the Parks & Trails Foundation's annual signature fundraising event kicking off our fiscal year. The event features local non profit organizations relating to the environment, sustainability, conservation, wildlife and more. We will also have activities and educational opportunities in addition to entertainment, food and a silent auction.
Last year we estimated nearly 1,000 attendees and this year, we expect many more!

I’ve been away from God for a really long time. I have a mix of mild autism, ADHD, and a strong need for things to be logically and empirical. My ex-wife was somewhat performative in her faith and it ended up with me getting caught up in church drama and a bad taste in my mouth with church groups. On top of that, I started worshipping the almighty dollar and fell away from God, relying on myself instead. Turns out sin can be a gilded cage you don’t even realize you’re in.
Things turned sideways for me recently when I lost my job and I woke up to realize that I’m a divorced dad at 42 with no friends, no ambitions, and no real reason to keep going other than my daughter. I didn’t even remember what life is for besides taking care of responsibilities and making money. Then I prayed. Something I haven’t done in a really long time. Then I realized I need to make a change but I’m not ready to jump back into a full church family yet. I was hoping to find a small men’s group or even a local pastor/mentor I could connect with to see if I could slowly find my way back.
Sorry for the life story. But if you know of anyone or anything, I’d really appreciate the help.
New week, new drop-off spot! Tomorrow we're collecting at 1004 Brashear Ln in Cedar Park from 9am–7pm. Same drill — bag it up, label it SAVERS, and leave it on the driveway. Easy.

My son is almost 2 and will be going to school for the first time. He has some stranger danger still/can be shy in new environments. For those with experience would you recommend a Montessori like Guidepost or a traditional school/daycare like Abacus?

It's still raining but that's alright! We're still here and enjoying the company. Thank you to everyone who swung by this weekend and said they appreciated the reddit updates. It really helps to know we're not throwing things out into the ether.
