Full grown weight

My little female Cavapoo is 7.5 lbs at 15 weeks old. Her dad is a 5 lb toy poodle and her mom is a 10 to 11 lb cavalier. She was supposed to be 6 to 8 lbs. ha ha. She is adorable and we love her but really hoping she stays around 12 to 13 lbs but feeling like there is not a chance. She is very danity. Small head, small paws. Long long legs. Can I get some weights at about 15 weeks and then what they are full grown. Any example close to her that did stay smaller than expected?

Meet Walter!! Ear plucking tips?

Walter (4 months, F1B Mini) joined our family about 2.5 weeks ago and it already feels like he’s been a part of us for longer than that. I’m his dominant person and he is the best little shadow. I posted a few weeks ago about not letting him onto the furniture and I’m happy to report we’ve had no issues with this- he’s totally happy and bonded from the floor or his crate!

Does anyone have any tips or tricks about plucking their ear hairs? I bought a set off Amazon with a powder and tweezers, but the tweezers are like scissors and it’s really hard for me to get in there while he’s trying his best to get away from me. How do yall manage? My vet says it needs to be done every day and even doing it every other is absolutely torturous.

Has anyone else had a cavapoo this large?! (~22 lbs)

Charlie ended up much larger than we imagined! Curious if anyone else had a Cavapoo like this. He is not at all overweight! Just very long like a hot dog and tall lol. Wondered if maybe one of his parents was a big or standard poodle (he’s F2)

Happy update!! I posted a few weeks ago that we adopted a 1 1/2 yo cavapoo and she had no hair on her nose when we got her. The vet said it could be from stress or that she was stuck in a crate and rubbing her nose on it. Well, a month later her nose hair is growing back 🥰

Looking for a cavapoo puppy from a reputable breeder for around $1500. My little man is getting old and having a lot of health issues and I don’t want his sister to be by herself.

Licking bottom a lot more frequently

I've noticed in the last year or so that my fur baby is licking her bottom more often (probably 5 times a day at least). I get her groomed every 8 weeks and they express her anal glands each time I take her. She's 8 years old. Anybody have an idea what's the fix?

Grooming advice

Just looking for a bit of advice for this little girl, Baela.

I groom my own dogs at home every few months and I’ve heard conflicting information about grooming cavapoos. Some places say they should be shaved while others say only a scissor trim as a shave can ruin the coat, as it would for a cavaliers.

Baela’s coat seems to have the thickness of a poodle but the texture of a cavalier, if that makes a difference.

Whats been your experience?

Not eating a lot

Dustin joined our family a bit over a week ago, he is now 9 weeks ans 4 days old

Dustin have been such a joy, sleeps well, both in crate and in the sofa. Full of energy and joy, he loves to play and go on walks in his carry bag

Problem is, he's not really eating a lot, on good days he may finish half of the recommended kibble.

We also try lick mats with wet food, Greek yogurt, banana, berries and so on, he eats a bit and then lose interesset

He eats fine, if he sits in our lab and gets hand feed, but when it comes to eat from, anything else then us, he's just not really interessed

He's not underweight( yet), he gained weight since he got here

Maybe I worry too much. Idk.. is this normal?

We got our Coton puppy a Cavapoo!

Phoebe (Coton) is 20 weeks old. We got her about 4 weeks ago at 16 weeks old. We also bought Willa (Cavapoo) about the same time, but we could not take her home until she was 10 weeks. We finally got to bring her to her forever home last week to meet her big sissy!

We lost 2 senior dogs (litter mates) in the past 12 months at 14 years old. I’d been telling my wife for weeks that I’d do anything to argue over whose turn it is to walk the dogs again. She started looking at puppies out of curiosity one night a few weeks ago and told me if we ever get another she would like a Coton. I personally was leaning towards a Cavapoo. Not a big deal because we both agree that two female puppies were a must if/when we were ready. Since her interest was peaked I spent my lunch break the following day calling breeders. The Coton de Tulear breeder had one female left that wasn’t spoken for as did the Cavapoo breeder. Called the wife and her response was “could we go now?!?”. About 2 hours later we were bringing our Phoebe home and had left a deposit for our Willa.

She told me a third puppy is absolutely out of the question! We’ll see how firm she holds!! Either way, my heart is once again full!!

My boy Rodeo is about 5 1/2 months now. He was weighing 20.4 pounds 3 weeks ago. I am starting to wonder if maybe he’s a mini goldendoodle? Because of his size but also his face shape. I know the only way to know is a dna test. But what do you Cavapoo parents think?
