Hello 👋 I was in an accident and the 2nd car was at fault. I have comprehensive insurance but I don’t think they are insured, what should my next steps be?
Got into a truck accident recently and now I’m trying to figure out the lawyer side of things… didn’t expect it to be this confusing. Didn’t expect choosing a truck accident lawyer to be this confusing. If you’ve been through it, what actually matters? Experience with truck cases, dealing with insurance, or something else? Also, do they keep you updated or not really? Any tips or red flags would help. I just don’t want to pick the wrong lawyer and make things worse.
Hello everyone (: I was in a car accident, and I don’t know if they have insurance or not. My insurance adjuster said she can’t get in contact with the other driver & they may not be insured - I still have to wait for the police report. Should I wait to see if they have insurance or should I get an attorney right away? What’s the best route of action. Thank you for the help . I’m currently having simple headaches turning into severe.
anyone here done the compensation process, i would like advice.
so 18 months ago i was in a car accident, i was 16 at the time, I am now 18 in a week and its still messing around my life.
I almost died and had sustained bad leg/knee injuries and medical mismanagement has led to 3 further serious knee injuries including unhealed fractures and losing the ability to walk randomly a month ago, I also lost two teeth, sustained a TBI thats still presenting 18mths later and memory loss, had plastic surgery to fix up my face, I refused to drive a car for 18 months, I ended up with Bipolar 1 and hospitalized 3 times in 6 months, and dropped out of high school and couldnt work my part time job anymore so I have lost heaps of money
Thats all I can think of right now, there is so much more, but anyone whos done compensation for an accident, can I have some advice on whether I should be going after it or is my story not bad enough for a payout
Photos, dashcam footage, witness statements, medical records, and police reports can all play a role after an accident. Many drivers don’t know what evidence matters most until it’s too late.
What do you think is the most important thing to document after a crash?
basically i was driving home on the highway by the pentagon going 50, and another vehicle starts to merge directly next to me from the left, essentially side swiping me. i was okay but slightly swerved back into place. also i had gotten this car in September, and this was december. so i pulled to the shoulder first and he follows behind me. i showed him the scratches he left, he says that he didnt cause them and denying everything basically. i really hesitated on calling insurance or making a report because the scratches really arent that serious but its the fact that he didnt take responsibility for it. i felt like it could have ended so much worse. so im wondering if i should make a proper report now or just forget it ? 🙏🏻
I was in a car accident about 1.5 month ago in Los Angeles. The other driver lied at the scene and claimed I ran a red light, but I was driving straight through a green light and they hit me while turning left. I didn’t have a dash cam, so I hired a lawyer mainly because I wanted help proving I wasn’t at fault.
My lawyer keeps telling me they sent a third-party investigator but haven’t gotten a response yet.
I’m curious — do lawyers actually use third-party investigators for cases like this? And can it really take over a month to get camera footage, witnesses, or intersection evidence? (Police incident report has the witness phone number clearly)
I’m getting anxious because I feel like nothing is happening, and I don’t know how long these investigations usually take
