How do I fix this?

I spend 30 minutes dry firing every day (using Mantis x10 - average scores of 90-95 depending on the drill).

When I go to live fire, at 7 yards, I blow the center out of my point of aim with a couple of flyers here and there.

When I go to 15 yards I have a lot more spread. Annoying but kind of makes sense as small mistakes show up larger as you go further out.

But... then I'll go out to 50 yards for fun and the group tightens up again. Not as tight as 7 yards but tighter than 15.

I'm at the range 1-3 times a week and I'd like greater consistency... how do I tighten this up?

Why did you start carrying?

Why did you guys start carrying?

For me it was Home invasions.. the local Facebook group said a dude was writing down licenses plates and some how finding out where these people lived and robbing them.

I’ve only be carrying for about two years now.

A little story.. Easter two years ago I had owned a g2c for TWO days first gun I ever bought still have it. My wife and I was at a birthday party at the local park and her cousin thought it would be funny to drive up the drive way pointing a pellet gun out his window and shoot at her family. I was very pissed I told her I was ready to go. I told her it’s stupid shit like that that gets people shot. Anyway why did you guys start carrying?

Kink BMX drops pro rider Casey Starling over social media gun posts/holster ad

Former bmx rider here, this morning I woke up and saw rider Casey Starling has been removed from his kink bmx sponsorship over gun related social media posts and an apparent gun holster ad he posted on instagram. If you ride bmx or have family/friends that ride, avoid this company...

Tucked in Glock 45

I’m 5’7” 180lbs. Concealing a Glock 45 with a tenicor holster is definitely manageable with the right setup. Normally I use a nexbelt but the occasion required something more presentable. Larger or patterned shirts help a lot. There is extra bulk with the light, but it’s not so bad in my opinion

Carrying on a road trip

I am taking a road trip from TX ultimately ending in NY where I have a second home. Along the way I'll pass through a few states with more restrictive laws (Maryland, NJ, NY).

I have had my Texas CHL for many years and understand based on this reciprocity map where my license will be valid and not. I don't have a firearms license in NY.

My question is how should I legally transfer my firearm back to TX before I reach a state that does not offer reciprocity with my Texas CHL? Do I mail the firearm unloaded back to myself or a trusted friend in TX? To an FFL?

X300 U-A

If anyone is on the fence about getting the A over the B, there is absolutely no play as long as you switch out the U rail mount for the P mount. You also need to make sure you push the light all the way down until it locks in. Feel like the A is the better buy over the B.

Whats the better ccw option for women, the m&p shield or the p365 xmacro?

women of reddit, I'm looking for a edc for my wife and I'm thinking either the m&p shield or the p365 xmacro. im open to suggestions aswell. but im looking for guidance as she doesn't want to carry on her person but in a bag or her purse. I carry a p365 legion and I really like it, so im leaning towards the xmacro. what are your guys' opinions?

Carrying the Big Iron

My engraved ACW is starting to show some wear from carrying. I just got it back from Griffin & Howe in December, so it’s only got a few months in the holster. The blue is G&H’s “rust blue”, similar to the bluing found in traditional fine shotguns. It’s a little tougher than traditional hot salt blue- but, not much.

It’s a great gun, runs amazing… however, as NC summer humidity rolls in, it’ll be retired to the gun wall until Fall. I don’t mind holster wear, but rust from humidity and sweat is a different story.

Gun advice

I am about to turn 21 and would like to get my first legal Concealed carry hand gun in the great state of Texas. I unfortunately don’t know much and everything seems to look the same. I’m hoping for some recommendations and some reasons for the recommendation. I was thinking about the Glock 19x hush puppy but it’s a little expensive for a first gun. If a suppressor could be added down the line that would be great 😊
