News announcer Neil Kumar, he does the late night world news and speaks as if he's telling secrets

If you've heard him read the news late at night, you'll know who I'm talking about. Just a very strange whispery voice, strange cadence; doesn't seem to fit the style of a CBC newsreader at all. Unnerving.

Indigenous Separate Hospitals

Odd to me that on Ideas today it is being stated that no one knew there was a separate hospital system for First Nations. I knew. Medical care has always been a Provincial area of responsibility. Medical care for what were then known as Indians was a Federal responsibility by law. That they were underfunded and racist comes as no surprise. Remember treaty First Nations did not vote until 1960. And that was at least partly by choice as there was resistance for sovereignty reasons. To wit -

“Bill Erasmus, national chief of the Dene Nation in the Northwest Territories, told CBC News on Wednesday that he is cautious about applauding the anniversary.
Erasmus said Diefenbaker went ahead with something that fundamentally affected the nation-to-nation basis of treaties with the Crown, and he did it without any meaningful consultation with First Nations people.
"That's what the whole exercise was about. It was to make us Canadians, and we never had a discussion about that," Erasmus said.
"So yes, I think people want to participate in Canadian society, but they need to participate on conditions that they entered into with the Crown. So that's why my feelings are mixed on the question."

PLEASE stop playing "Dry Spell" all day every day

I mean it's been at least twice a day for weeks (Mornings and Drive). Sure, it's a catchy song but CBC Music ALWAYS does this - plays a good song to death until we hate it, and then never plays it again. And honestly I'm pretty sick of hearing about Kacey Musgrave's shed that she wants someone's tool up in. C'mon guys. Mix it up a bit.

As It Happens - writing

I love everything about this show and wonder, how the writing works in the production. I find Chris funny - words and delivery. Great tone.

Front Burner episode for May 8 not available. Does anyone know why?

I’m trying to listen to today’s episode which is titled “How separatists doxxed Alberta” but everywhere I try to access it I get errors and it won’t play. Is this happening everywhere or just in Alberta? I live in AB and am really concerned with this leak and don’t trust that the UCP aren’t doing something to minimize how much information is available.

Please post playlogs for Afterdark

The CBC webpage posts most playlogs (example: Night stream) but Afterdark only has a link to listen to live or prerecorded programs under "Episodes & Playlogs". I look up songs I hear on Nightstream almost every night. It would be nice to be able to do the same when Odario is playing tunes. It also helps the artists.
