Fun lil parametric table

Just messing around with a coffee table design, I wanted it to be as configurable as possible with minimal to no recalculation time

How can I make my life easier when working on machining?

I've been doing CATIA for about a year now but to this day I still struggle immensely with creating the operations needed to get my desired piece. My professor usually gives us some vague steps (or none at all) to achieve the piece but this can take dozens of hours, if not days.

Surely there must be a better way to do this, this software has been around for decades and I'm sure there must be some good tips and tricks, maybe macros or using an excel?

Hi, everyone, I am fresher working in a MNC as a Mech engineer during past 5 months, I have created some high-level VBA macros for Catia V5 , what my macro does is, It creates many parts based on the input from excel sheet for dimensioning , then creates an assembly using those parts and make a kinematic model which can be easily simulated for analysis, Now I want to create a same macro for 3D experience , I tried various resources , read many articles and documentation file, but every time I fail during the assembly creation and joint creation process, Right now I just want a simple macro, that creates 2 identical 3d parts then creates an assembly and add a prismatic joint which can be simulated a small macro for this process, so If someone has done it before or can help me it will be really helpful , Thank you

As a challenge I tried to making a fully parametric ISO chain and sprocket assembly without using reactions or macros, just pure geometry

or at least it's what i assume it is called, i'm using a manual which tells me to click on a button to go back to the 3d view but i can't find it

Faulty export provided a part that's missing a surface.

Wanting to export a shape from openvsp to Catia for detailed design. However, it fails to close one specific face, and I cannot find a way to generate that last surface while making sure it's watertight, so i may turn it into a solid. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Hello,

I'm trying to work with skeletons and external references, but an unknown symbol appears frequently. Does anyone know what it is? And if it's an issue, how can I solve it?
