Hi, we found this one dead in our yard today in NE Texas.
iNaturalist has it as a Red Spotted Admiral, and I had an identification on it saying it was a Red Spotted Purple.

Some scenes that I thought were a bit funny, plus a few that are more pretty... April 5, 2026 Cochise County, AZ

I was able to get a photo of this American Lady that was exploring our yard today in NE Texas.

Happy Easter. I saw this creature many years ago in Pecos Wilderness, New Mexico. Any ideas what it is?

Hey y’all,
This is my first time ever gardening and I am in south Louisiana. I purchased two milkweed plants that I am growing in my container garden, thinking it would be cool if the butterflies liked it and apparently at least one did! There are at least 13 caterpillars on plant A (first photo, I need a video to show them all) and on plant B I was able to spot 3 (a GINORMOUS one plus two small little guys, second photo).
I have a feeling two milkweed plants isn’t enough to feed 15+ monarch caterpillars- is this correct? Would it be a good idea to go to the garden store tomorrow and buying a few more? If so how many? Is there anything else I can do to help these little guys?
I appreciate the advice!
