I see people on here sharing screenshots of their front door camera views all the time so I was hoping for a good recommendation for one. I’m not tied to a brand I’d just like to feel safe and be able to see a live feed, record movement and get alerts. As well preferably one that’s easy to install because I will be doing it myself and not well versed in installations, an I’m not willing to pay for a subscription.

Any recommendations are welcome thank you so much.

I almost got hit at the Brant St Go.. and he almost hit another person too. Zero consequences...so behavior continues. Am i delusional??

After being an emergency patient at St Joe’s Eye clinic for emergency eye surgery I felt it was important to write a letter to the hospital to share my experience which was very positive.

So often people only take the time to complain. If you have been treated well as anyone one the hospitals please take the time to write a letter to the hospital. From Security guards to the head of the department I was given exceptional care.

I had a tear in my retina and I was expedited to the top of the list the day I went. Thank you to all the people at St Joe’s you are all part of an amazing team.

Just warning people about something that happened to me tonight around 7:45 PM at Dorval Crossing in Oakville, by Booster Juice beside Party City.

A newer black Hyundai sedan with a City Taxi sign on top pulled up beside me. A young Black female got out of the back seat and asked if I could help pay her taxi fare because the driver supposedly did not take cash and only accepted debit or credit. She said it was only $7.50 and offered me $10 cash.

I agreed to help, but right away I knew something felt off. The driver appeared to be a brown male of Indian/South Asian descent. He took my card himself and said his old machine did not have tap. He would not let me hold the terminal or complete the transaction myself and kept controlling everything.

At that point I figured they were likely trying to skim card information or steal debit/credit details using the so-called old machine. I even said to the driver that it felt like a scam, and he started acting nervous. I still went along with it because by then I already knew something was off and wanted to see what they were trying to do.

I purposely entered the wrong PIN. He then acted like it was fine, and they drove off quickly. The biggest giveaway was that the girl had gotten out of the back seat to make it look like she was a real passenger, but when they left, she jumped into the front seat, so they were clearly together.

I unfortunately did not get the plate because I was laughing internally by that point, but I am also almost certain it was not a real City Taxi company vehicle. There was nothing inside the car that made it look like an actual taxi at all other than the sign on the roof.

I locked my card immediately after. They got nothing from me and I kept the $10. Nice try. Basically tried to scam me and got anti-scammed instead.

Please be careful:

• Never hand your debit or credit card to anyone
• Never let someone else control the payment machine
• Never enter your PIN unless the terminal is in your own hands
• If something feels off, trust your gut and walk away

Posting this so nobody else in Oakville or Burlington gets caught by the same scam.

Do any gyms have consistent classes for after work hours? The YMCA and LA fitness barely have any after work classes.

Is it better to just go to a Yoga studio? If so does anyone have any recommendations for that?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any apartments for rent in Burlington or the surrounding area under $1000. And wouldn’t need a credit check. I have a family member in need of a place to stay until they can establish their credit etc. Thanks

I have a small fleet of commercial vehicles (small/medium work vans). They need routine maintenance but the only shop I've ever trusted is on the far end of Hamilton and I need something closer to the office. I tried the closest place to my office and they're okay but are more expensive and less cost conscious than my other mechanic who is usually very thoughtful when advising me on what's necessary vs what areas we can save some money on.

I've got about a dozen new & used jigsaw puzzles. There are various piece counts. I don't want to leave them with Value Village, etc. And I'm not interested in swapping.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on a cockroach issue that has been ongoing in my condo.

My condo has been having issues with cockroaches for about a year or so now. A year ago, we had the exterminator come to check our place and let us know that we are not the source. He said management hasn’t been actively keeping up with preventative measures as it had been a while since he had been called to do any work.

The treatment requires us to remove everything from our cupboards and drawers and move furniture away from the walls. This is a huge undertaking and is extremely inconvenient especially when they tell us 3-4 days prior not considering people have to work.

Fast forward to March 27th and they have to treat again. Fine. But then, fast forward to today, and they tell us we have to be treated again! 3 treatments in total so far.

It’s clear that the actual source is not being treated and they aren’t keeping up with preventative measures. The exterminator this time was different so we don’t even know if the original stills works for the same company.

Is there anything we can do? Anyone else have similar experiences? This is getting pretty ridiculous as this point. Management is not being transparent at all.

I have never had my nails done and thought its time! I am looking for an affordable place to get them done, maybe a summery design as well, any suggestions?

I am mid 20s female and I don’t really know how to make friends in this area I feel a bit lonely..
