Previously, I've also encountered a problem like this, being that my nether highway just disappear and replaced by the original chunk of the world. I thought this was the problem being caused by the 26.1 update (Tiny Takeover). So I didn't think much of it.
i logged onto my world to continue building my wither skeleton farm and then i just see this 😭

first is in the menu screen. i checked it because i saw my shield suddenly obscuring my view, went in 3rd pov, and found some sort of something had made me a floating head which is seemingly still on backwards
Lava texture turned black when I went near it for whatever reason.
This is definitely an interesting development
