
May is the Month of recognising mental health:
♡ The month focuses on breaking stigma, encouraging open conversations, and promoting mental wellbeing through campaigns, fundraising, and community action.
♡ There are 5 C's to mental health;
•Connection - Cultivating supportive relationships and reducing isolation
•Compassion - Practicing empathy toward oneself and others
•Coping - Developing healthy, proactive strategies for stress management
•Community - Engaging with a sense of belonging, purpose, and mutual support
•Care - Prioritizing personal well-being, including mental and physical health needs
♡ This model emphasizes nurturing relationships, practicing self-kindness, managing challenges effectively, engaging with a support network, and proactive self-care
♡ Check in on your friends, family and loved ones. Make sure they're doing alright and arent in a spot of trouble in which they need someone to talk to.
♡ Most importantly check in on yourself, make sure youre doing ok, that youre looking after yourself and that youre not neglecting your own needs and feelings.
