Im making a website to show my list of videos, and im not sure if I need to show whos the master or not

I really dislike the idea of selling boots unless you filmed them yourself. Why on earth would I pay a random person for a bootleg that I can elsewhere for free? If I am far off base and selling isn’t actually that bad, explain why. But as far as I can tell, it’s pretty sleazy, honestly. With that said, it’s frustrating when I try to make a trade and the person says “or you can just pay me” because they aren’t the ones who filmed it.
I was wondering. With buying and selling, how much is a boot usually supposed to cost? I’m wondering because I think I just got told a number by this guy and he just told me a crazy number. If I did end up wanting to ever buy a bootleg (I guess if there is one that I want enough 🙄) how much should one be sold? (This guy just messaged me, I’ll copy and paste here. “With your list I don’t really care for any of these. If you really want both of them boots I could take 30 for one or 50 for both) is that not insanely high?? I kinda just want to give him a slap on the wrist “I would not pay more than blah blah blah” so help me out. If that is a fine amount, I’ll just leave it at that and just say I’m not interested. But please let me know, sorry the explanation is so long!

as i mentioned in a previous post, i'm fairly new to trading bootlegs. with that said, to start my collection i was gifted plenty of recordings by friends or communities, and lots of them don't have information about the masters. i want to do my trading list but i'm unsure if i can do it without this info, and where i can find the specifications.

I lost access to my old bootleg collection from back in the 2010s when I left my ex a few years ago. I've recently become disabled and I finally have time to restart my collection - properly this time! I'm hoping for some gifts from kind folks. Of course I'd like any of the big name shows, but I really want to know what's a favorite of YOURS. Favorite actor, favorite cast, best performance? Or maybe there's an obscure show you wish others knew about? Fill my hours!

Do you have either the video or the audio? I don't want it but I just have a question.

About 42 minutes in, depending on the version you have, The Rhythm of London finishes, followed by a conversation between Paddington and Hank the Pigeon. I find everything Hank says borderline incomprehensible. Can someone please help me with this? I am trying to write subtitles and I'm losing my mind trying to transcribe this exchange:

Hank: So if you've got feathers or a [xxxxxx], and you find yourself [xxxxxxxxxxx]

Paddington: Hello Hank!

Hank: Oh hello, [xxxxxxx]

Hank: Here - you don't have another [xxxxx] in your [xxxxxxx], do ya?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody is willing to gift me a boot of Gutenberg The Musical with Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad. I have been trying to get more into the bootlegging community for a long time now but I can't seem to find a way to start my collection or get an Encora account so I unfortunately have nothing to trade with but if anybody is willing to gift me I would be very grateful.

hello! i'm still learning the ropes of trading (and using mega) so please forgive the newbie question.

i understand that reusing other people's links is frowned upon, and the standard practice is to download and reupload so you can send your own links. but i notice there's a "save to MEGA" button in files where if you save boots that way, it's effectively in your own mega account and it produces entirely new links. are these okay to use for trading, even if i haven't manually downloaded and reuploaded them into my account?

i ask because my internet is horrifically slow and it takes me a whole afternoon to download a 10gb boot, and even longer to reupload :') i'd like to be able to save a lot of new boots to my account first, then go to a friend's house with much faster internet and download+reupload everything at once there. thank you!

Looking for anyone to help explain a couple of things for me!

1.) Please explain NFTs & Do Not Gifts to me like I’m a toddler….
- yes, I know they mean not for trade and not to be just handed out. So I guess my questions are: Can you trade for a file that is listed as do not gift? Like, what’s the biggest difference between the two? Also, how do we keep track of these specific not for trade dates, and how can I catch if a new file goes NFT or comes off NFT? The last thing I want to do is mistakenly trade or gift a file that is supposed to be NFT or Do Not Gift😖

2.) Is more of a recommendation:
What kind of tips and tricks do you guys have when it comes to creating your collection/wants lists? I see the most popular might be spreadsheet but I’ve never used spreads a day in my life so I have no clue what I’m doing. Also, how do you guys recommend storing files?

Please, any tips and tricks are welcome- I’m incredibly anxious to mess something up while I’m still learning how everything works so the more advice I get, the better!

hi ! I'm quite new to trading, and I'm trying to download everything correctly. I subscribed to mega so now I have 200G of space, but that goes by quickly with boots. so I was thinking of getting an external hard drive that I could transfer all of my boots on.

here's my question : if I did that, how would I get my links to trade ?

technically, I would upload the link to mega, download it and save it on the hard drive. but afterwards, to save space, I would have to undownload (I know that's not a word) the videos from mega, though I have no clue how to do that.

although, I have 2,4TB of transfer space with my mega subscription, but I have no clue what to do with that.

please help me out, im pretty bad with technology :/
