S5E14: Sometimes I like it when Bones is chastened

Basically in this episode, Bones is taking shots at psychology (yet again). The doctor was kind enough to pull her aside and correct her. Of course she wasn’t sorry but again he was kind enough to consider her non-apology as one.

Few scenes later after seeing what he actually does on a daily basis, she apologizes for undervaluing his work.

I love Bones but sometimes I just want to shushhhhhh her and I love it when people clock her like this. Especially when she’s disrespecting people’s beliefs and livelihood

Brennan is unlikable s8/e11

Are you absolutely kidding me?

During the investigation the team finds thousands of year old bones. Clark is now head anthropologist of the ancient something something so the bones go to him for investigation and Bones is upset over this because she thinks it’s her who should be responsible for these bones. She becomes extremely unlikable the way she treats Clark as someone beneath her instead of her equal.

Just like in the episode with the feet-anthropologist who she also refused to treat as her equal.

I think in the later seasons Bones’ entitled behavior becomes tiring and it feels for me like there is no character growth at all sometimes.

What do you think??

Does anyone else think they really underestimate Angela?

Ok, so I watched the show through season 4, and I thought 5 (though I now know I didn’t pay much attention), and I know I saw a bit of the start of 6 at an early point. I recently started rewatching.

Now I don’t always love Angela. I have found her problematic at various points, but I mostly like her. She isn’t my favorite character (for me, that was Sweets, actually), but they always saw her as the artist and less intelligent and having fewer degrees.

But her computer skills were insane! She could do incredible things, and in many ways, I think she was the most talented and capable person there. She was definitely the most irreplaceable in a way. I just don’t think you could as easily get a truly talented artist with her computer skills who also would like working in that environment and would get on well with that group as easily as you could replace almost any other team member.

What do the rest of you think?

This not so subtle nudge to the series' 14+ rating is so funny to me. What are some of yours?

End of Season12, what happend to Gormogon and Zack?

I've started watching Bones out of curiosity and got hooked on the Gormogon plotline. Which suddenly endet after Zack confessed.

Now after I've watched all all 12 Seasaons I'm extremly confused. What happend to the Gormogon plotline? Why did Zack confess? Wasn't the Master that old guy in the retirement home? Later Zack withdraw his confession because of.. why?

For me it seems they suddenly abandoned the whole plotline and made a quick hotfix at the end to redeem Zack.

Can anyone explane what I've missed?

The very first Bones episode I watched was “Man in the Morgue.” Instantly fell in love with the show.

How does the FBI feel about Brennan?

As I've started rewatching the series for like the 10th time this month I started wondering something throughout the series we see Brennan, Booth, Cam, Hodgins, Angela, Zack and the squinterns become a found family who would either kill or die for each other to varying degrees. But I don't know if we ever saw how everyone at the FBI field office beside from Booth feels about Brennan personally.

I know that in the beginning Booth's boss Cullen didn't like Brennan but that was in the first season. I think after 12 years of helping Booth solve the unsolvable cases which would make the FBI look really good in the public eye that everyone in the DC field office would at least respect Brennan's unique brand of genius. And then when she and Booth officially got together and had Christine that they'd think of her as part of the FBI family especially after she and Booth got married. But what do you guys think how do the other agents at the Hoover building feel about Brennan?

Sweets

I love sweets, like i love him baaaad. Hes just like me ya know? A lil personally messed up but hes got his shit on lock, and he ships booth in bones in such a physicians-code-of-conduct end ethics violating way, hes endeared himself to me. Also i have a mayor crush on him but thats besides the point. I am on S3 if youre about to bring me down from my bubble, please dont spoil. I swear if they do to him what they did to Zack im blowing up the jeffersonian idfc how many bones and geniuses and priceless artifacts are in there, and after im pulling a Bones Dad Season 2 Ark on the whole of the FBI dont play with me now. I hope you enjoyed that runonn sentence

Am I the only one who thinks that Booth and the others deserved what they got

When they were cleaning up the paisley in the shower and they turned off the radio with hodgins on the roof and they get covered in people stew after he tried to warn them lol. I always feel like he is just getting crapped on, other than marrying pookie noodlin lol. But for someone who also has a degree in herpetology and a big interest in insects and horticulture. It bothers me when Booth calls him bug boy lol!

S10, Cam and Arastoo

I‘m trying to explain without putting too many spoilers but this is something that has been bothering me while watching these episodes.

I‘m currently watching S10 and it’s that point of the show where Arastoo‘s brother back home gets really, really sick. Understandably, Arastoo wants to be there for him so his brother doesn’t have to suffer alone. It’s not an unreasonable thought of him.

It so annoys me, how Cam just makes it about herself and involves herself in a decision that really isn’t hers to make, even though she thinks differently. When he tells her “I love you” her answer was “I’m sorry but idk what that means right now”

Girl be soo for real, his left-behind brother is dying and the guilt is probably already eating Arastoo alive, why make it harder for the man you supposedly love?
I know she’s afraid, so is he because probably, since knows what could happen, but to me that’s all the more reason to support him because it might be the last thing she does for him as his girlfriend (I’m watching for the first time so Idk what will happen)

I feel I like Cam less and less with every season that passes…

Sweets s7e3, discussion of events in s10

Lowkey, Sweets getting a gun in this episode leads to his death. If he hadn't had a gun, he likely wouldn't have been sent to that garage by himself and he wouldn't have died.

Sleepy hollow crossover

I was excited for it. I was a fan of both shows back in the day, but I ended up being kinda disappointed, feel they could have done more.

Big mistake
