Legendary Voice Actor Kazuya Nakai Linked to Indian Blockbuster ‘Operation Dhurandhar’ for Japan Release.
TOKYO – The first installment of the record-breaking Indian franchise, titled Operation Dhurandhar for the local market, is set to hit Japanese cinemas on July 10, 2026.
Excitement is peaking as reports link legendary voice actor Kazuya Nakai—best known as the voice of Roronoa Zoro in One Piece—to the Japanese dub.
More works - Mugen (Samurai Champloo), Toshirō Hijikata (Gintama), Zapp Renfro (Blood Blockade Battlefront), Akitaru Ōbi (Fire Force), Date Masamune (Sengoku Basara).
Fans expect Nakai to voice one of the film’s gritty leads, such as Hamza, matching the movie's "raw intensity."
Distributed by TWIN, the film arrives in Japan following a massive global run of over ₹1,400 crore.
While the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, continues to shatter records in India, Japanese audiences will first experience the 206-minute "Japan Cut" of the original thriller that started the phenomenon.

Big moment for Indian cinema!
There was so much noise and clutter when the ‘Rama glimpse’ was first released that almost everyone forgot to see and feel the divine, charismatic presence of our aaradhya, Lord Ram, within it.
Ranbir carries such a calm, mystical energy in each frame as Lord Ram; I find myself teary-eyed watching him embody my Lord in his full divine and charismatic glory — especially the scene where King Dasaratha is crowning Ram, a sombre yet emotionally charged moment, given we know what fate has in store for both of them.
Ram is the most epic character in the entire pantheon of Hindu gods — someone each of us should aspire to be like. Seeing him being presented in this manner makes me deeply happy and emotionally euphoric. I wish others, too, could have felt the divine, magnetic screen presence of our Lord, our aaradhya, instead of dissecting trivialities.
