Okay I found this sub and I don't have that much acquaintances around me to rant about the show. The one I have obviously she doesn't budge what happens there.

So I have been watching Parashuram since December 2025. I also watch the Hindi one so in order to know about the story I started watching the Bengali one. Tbh I was blown away after watching its initial 100 episodes. Something I wanted in TV for long. Good actors, awesome screenplay, action, romance, drama balanced. Even the annoying kids didn't annoy me so much.

Then the next 200 episodes were also okay with Totini being the spy/criminal involved with Karna Chatterjee, Babbar, Sheetal and one thing I loved the butterfly effect it had. Like a random case opened at the beginning of the show had a link with the recent one..

But I feel with Lattu's kidnapping and change of old Lattu (that I know because of the heroine) the story is getting boring, stagnant, and in a loop. Totini's profession isn't cleared. Either she's an assassin or a spy or a criminal. And now they even introduced a new villain and suddenly the story is getting shifted to Totini centric by dumbing down Parashuram 😭😭😭. I am not liking at all. Like the man who wouldn't leave his gun while being asleep forgot to bring to office or kept at another place 😭😭 . He's keeping his personal relationship above his duty something he never did in earlier episodes. I absolutely loved when he confronted Totini about P & S society case but now he's being made emotional fool and dumbed down for Totini.

Finally, a rant post where I have good things to rant about. The show "Shongsharer Shongkirton" (সংসারের সংকীর্তন) is a new one, it aired its first episode on April 13 of this year, and is telecast on Star Jalsha at 10 PM. This show stars Sabyasachi Chowdhury and Manali Dey ("Shimul" from "Kar Kachhe Koi Moner Kotha" 🤩) and I could never tell that a comedic character would fit her so well. The plot of this story is quite unique too. Shanti (played by Manali) is a bangal and Joyanta (played by Sabyasachi) is a ghoti (sounds familiar?) but the two are in love and want to marry each other. However, Joyanta's father (played by Subhasish Mukherjee) refuses to let them get married. So they go to Joyanta's father's father in law (a.k.a. Shanti'r hobu shoshur er shoshur -- played by Paran Bandyopadhyay) and he gets the two couples married. From then on, the show revolves mainly around bangal Shanti and her ghoti shoshur's antics, sometimes being comedically intervened by Shanti's shoshur er shoshur.

The casting of this show is fantastic. I was skeptical about Manali Dey playing as a comedic character but she fits so perfectly well! Joyanta is a bit stupid imo but he isn't the kinda guy to take his family's side when they're being unjust to Shanti. Shanti and Joyanta are friggin couple goals. Shanti's shoshur is great too, and my most favorite character is the shoshur er shoshur. The casting in this show is done really well.

But the characters are so respectable too!! Shanti and Joyanta are adorbs. When a fake purohit told about a made up broto that newly wed couples can't sleep with each other for the first 30 days, they would try sneaking in to meet each other constantly. Shanti can actually openly tell her feelings to Joyanta, and the same goes the other way around. But can you imagine a marriage in a bangla TV show where the protagonists actually fall in love and then decide to marry instead of a shidur er kouto (vermillion for my non bengali friends) doing a quarterdouble back flip in the air and somehow perfectly landing on the wrong bride's forehead? This show is such an escape from the insufferable Bengali TV show tropes. The shoshur and shoshur er shoshur are the best though lol. The acting is amazing. The shoshur seems like an emotionally absent, unfriendly person at first but in times he shows his soft side. I wonder if he will become a father figure to Shanti, whose father probably died when she was young. The shoshur fears no one but the shoshur er shoshur, and that leads to a lot of funny moments. There're other amazing characters in this show too who deserve recognition, like chhondo milano nondo, but this post is becoming too long 😅

Do you guys see a bit of a resemblance to "Boyei Gelo"? Bangal vs Ghoti, an amazingly funny script, lack of shitty tropes, the older characters having a central role, Paran Bandyopadhyay playing as one of the main characters etc etc? I'm not complaining though, we need more shows like "Boyei Gelo" in this shitrial era we are in fr fr.

Do you guys have anything negative to say about the show? This show has been a new obsession so feel free to start conversations in the comments!

Edit: learn from this show, producers of Porineeta. Maybe y'all will finally get a loyal gen-z audience 🙄

Wtf is going on omg. The makers have crossed the lines of EVERYTHING. I won’t even touch on the absurdity of Parul jumping from a 22 floor building, taking her sweet time till Rayan screams ‘ily’ AND then paragliding, but about more of Parul emotionally blackmailing Rayan to apparently “salvaging Rayan from his pain”??? This is a woman who was literally blackmailed and cheated like days ago by her in-laws. She knows the pain of being emotionally cheated bcs she herself has experienced it, and still, she went ahead with doing such a thing solely bcs of her ego.

I can admit I am not a fan of how Rayan is a manchild, how he continues tormenting Parul by not letting her go and yet adamantly refusing to budge about the love of his life, but this was the height of the atrocities the makers of this show could show by Parul. Eta bhul chilona, *onnyay* chilo. And AFTER doing it, Parul’s self victimization is so frustrating to watch. Atleast acknowledge that you wronged the person you supposedly love! But no, instead it’s all “amar bhagge bhalobasha chilona” “ami toke ei bhar theke mukto korte cheyechilam” and all that nonsense. 🙄

Lets not forget how NO one in the Basu family is on Rayan’s side. How are these grown ass adults refusing to see that, Parul, for once, was in the wrong? That she didn’t do the right thing? That emotional blackmailing is a horrible thing, no matter if it’s between two strangers or two spouses. It doesn’t matter that Rayan was in the wrong by bringing his insecurities in their relationship, manipulation will NEVER be okay. This wasn’t just stepping out of the comfort zone, this was literal emotional violation. What did Parul think? That Rayan wouldn’t say anything or react to being emotionally blackmailed? That he’d be “relieved” by being forced?

Ashutosh Basu, Rayan’s dadu pmo so much. This man should lie in hell for single handedly controlling every family member’s life and ruining their lives. He’s the sole reason EVERYONE has so much trauma, starting from Rayan’s dad, mom, kaku, kakima, ruku didi, pishimoni, moinak dada, boudimoni and who not. He’s dictated every aspect of everyone’s lives and burnt all their desires on the pyre. He was INFURIATING today. “til ke taal korcho” “tumi oke baddho korecho tomake manipulate korte” bruh 🥴

Lets not forget the upcoming bullshit they will show by how Parul once yet magically “fixes” Rayan’s trauma and mental anguish.

Thats it. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
