30 F looking for other ladies who golf and are willing to either meet at a driving range or play a round (def prefer a golf cart course)
I’m in the South Bay but willing to travel around different practice facilities/courses in the area.
Just a ‘heads up’ that Bay View (formerly Summitpoint) in Milpitas no longer allows people to walk on the weekend, a golf cart is required. Even if you pay full cart rate, they don’t let you walk it (which I do at other courses like Coyote and Cinnabar). I avoid courses that don’t allow walking, if I had known of this change I would have gone elsewhere.
That was never the policy in the past — I’ve probably played there ~10 times over the years and always walked. There are a few holes that are not easy (climbing up #2, for example), but overall it’s not a difficult walk if you’re reasonably fit.
I appreciate the intent, which is to speed up play. But, the implementation is off base. Few people walk that course, and the walkers are not the thing holding back pace of play. The slow pace is from the clueless golfers who are slow getting to the greens and even slower once they get there.
