Donations desperately needed for severely neglected heartworm positive young doggy who needs life saving treatment

Meet Sissy! She is a young, heartworm positive 35 lb border collie/lab mix dog who is estimated to be 1-1.5 yrs old.

Despite being severely neglected and malnourished she trusted me enough to let me help her. She was eating trash and plastic from nearby dumpster. She was injured and in heat but still very friendly and loving. I contacted local rescues and shelters but they unfortunately did not have room or resources to offer assistance so l decided to take her home.

My initial plan was to keep her safe with the purpose of eventually finding her placement so that she could be fully vetted. In the meantime I have taken her to check ups, started her on preventives, vaccines, etc.

Her bloodwork came back heartworm positive and unfortunately I have already spent everything I can getting her stabilized and cared for but the real costs are just beginning and I'm overwhelmed with getting her the care that she desperately needs to survive.

The moderators have approved me to share her GoFundMe. Donations will go directly toward her treatment, vet visits and medications.

GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/41eba3f26

If anyone is able to help, share or suggest additional resources I might not know about I would be incredibly grateful. Even just upvoting or interacting with this post could help save her life.

I'll continue posting updates on her progress so everyone who has helped can see how she's doing. I've included documentation from her vet for full transparency.

Thank you all ❤️🐾

Shipping delays?

Has anyone noticed that the boxes are taking longer and longer to ship + receive them ? I haven’t been getting mine until the end of the month (literally received aprils on the 27th) + within the next week they’re charging me again for the new month!!

My pup has the 12 month subscription and adores his new toys so I’m not going to cancel but 🫪🫪

**puppy tax so post doesn’t get lost**

Bayou's amputation

Hello Bayou Baby was hit by a truck this week and in a few short hours she's going to be getting her leg amputated. I'm such a mess right now watching her struggle and in pain. I was so scared that we were going to lose her but thankfully we got the donations for surgery and to save her life. She loves barkbox especially her ollies and I've been looking on how to order her the ollie pet bed and can't find it. If anyone knows where I can get her one for her recovery I'd appreciate it! Please pray for a successful surgery and fast recovery.

Lucky Doggie Bag

I see the May Lucky bag drops this Friday. Did anyone get the April bag/box? I did March and it was decent but curious if it’s consistent or like a previous poster, we will receive candy cane cookies. 😆

Just started a 6-month subscription, after stopping for a few years. This was the “box”, WTF? I liked having a cardboard box to store everything. Is this the new normal?

They also promised the Pacific Northwest theme, but sent the Round Table theme instead, so double disappointment.
