Hosted a “manual brews only” coffee evening and my friends became coffee snobs in 2 hours ☕️

Hosted a tiny “manual coffee only” get-together at home this weekend and accidentally became that person who says things like “give me 30 more seconds on the bloom” unironically. ☕️

Menu included:
- V60 pourovers (hot + iced)
- Vietnamese phin coffee
- Cinnamon cold brew
- Citrus cold brew
- French press
- Cookies doing emotional support duties

No espresso machine. No milk steaming sounds. Just vibes, kettles, questionable pouring techniques, and friends pretending they could taste “notes of orange blossom and jaggery.”

Honestly though, there’s something super fun about brewing one cup at a time for people and watching everyone slowly become coffee critics by their second sip.

Would love ideas for what manual brew setup/method I should add next without falling into full “I own 7 grinders” territory. 😭
