I am a ln amateur balloon artist and have been using a hand pump for a while. I am wanting to buy an electric or rechargeable battery pump. Which one would y’all recommend? I am not wanting to break the bank but I also don’t want one that only last me a few months. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
I’m very new to this and I can’t seem to find where to get bigger balloons, I have ordered several different sets from Amazon (labeled both as 260 and 360 and 160) but they all are exactly the same size. I want to make cool things but I can’t seem to find where to buy the balloons, I require assistance.
So I have a bunch of 360 Kalisan that I got and I like them because they are fatter than a 260 and wondered if you could use them instead of 260 or are 260 best because they are a bit more flexible.
What are your thoughts?
Heya Reddit! I have had this keychain of a balloon poodle for about two years now. It's the thing that inspired me to get into the hobby! I'd love to make a poodle that looks practically the same but I've been struggling to figure out what twists to use... Please help me out here!
his left heel boot thing popped and i replaced it but didnt get a photo of it
I am very proud of these two pieces I made yesterday! I am a very new ballon artist and have only just gotten into balloon twisting practically after years of wanting to try it but never having the money.
When I was a kid, I got a cheap Balloon twisting kit with some birthday money, but the balloons were low quality and I never felt proud of my work. I got easily confused and could only ever make a dog.
The other day, I remembered I’m an adult now with adult money and so I ordered some cheap balloons on Amazon to start practicing with for the moment. I also ordered some Qualatex balloons since I was told by a clown friend of mine that they are the best for twisting.
The guitar was from a tutorial by BalloonAnimals1 on YouTube.
And the scepter was following a tutorial by Balloon Sage. The banana piece was sort of improvised since the creator accidentally left out that part of the tutorial, and while they left a comment explaining it- I got lost and confused lol. So I just sort of figured out something Banana shaped as best as I could. (The original tutorial calls it a moon but I thought it would be funnier to make a banana scepter using green and yellow)
They aren’t the best by any means. But I’m proud of my work because I’m improving!
I’m going to also include a piece that i am not proud of- but was the first balloon dog I made after starting this up again. Just to compare how I feel the Qualatex balloons have helped my improvement as well.
Feel free to give advice in the comments! My biggest struggle right now is measuring. Measuring how much to inflate the balloon, and also how much to twist and making everything look even.
So if you have any tips or tricks I’d appreciate it!
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I have been balloon twisting and face painting for around 3 years now professionally. I usually do weekend bookings ( birthdays, festivals, and corporate events). However, I am leaving for university next year so I am trying to make as much money as possible this summer. I already have some bookings but they are just weekend gigs. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to get more weekday gigs ( collaborating with restaurants, etc.). I am open to any ideas! Thank you so much.
Hi everyone!
I consider myself a pretty crafty person but somehow I'm struggling to transfer that into balloon twisting. My two biggest struggles so far are tying and unraveling.
I do stretch it a few times before inflating fully but it's not working in my favour. I've also tried the basics to make a dog and even then I was fighting the balloon lol
Thank you in advance for your tips!
I started twisting a month ago and wanted to share some of my recent pieces..needless to say, I’m hooked! I watch a lot of Holly Nicole George, as you might can tell.
