Got our Seal! Only one fob and NFC card

I'm guessing it's standard here that you get a fob, an NFC card and the app to use.

Coming from a much older car, the idea of not having a fob/key is super weird for me.

As there will be two of us using the car, I'm wondering what others do. Does the app really only allow one user/address per car?

If you're a card user. How do you like it? Do you just keep it in your pocket like you would a key? Does it work consistently?

How do you use the lock door button in the boot?

I’ve had my seal for some time, but I haven’t solved the mystery of what i think is a lock door button next to the close boot button in the boot. It would be very useful if I could find out how to use it. Can you solve the mystery?

I’m hoping someone has a suggestion. On my way home from work at 8pm on Saturday I hit a pothole and immediately blew out my rear passenger side tyre. Fortunately I was only 8km from home so my wife came and got me. I finally found the tyre repair kit while I was waiting for her but chose not to use it as the tyre deflated instantly so I assume it’s damage it won’t be able to fix. I went back the next day with my own pump and it couldn’t get the pressure past 6 psi.

The thing is that I had already ordered and paid for a set of 4 Michelin Primacy 5 from Costco, but the initial 4 week lead time has blown out to 6 weeks. I called Costco and asked if it would be ok if I had RACQ tow my car to them ready for when the tyres arrive. Despite going through several layers of management they insisted that due to liability issues they would tow my car if it was left in their carpark. So my only option would be to get RACQ to tow the car to my house and then have to pay for someone to tow it to Costco when the tyres finally arrive (they are now saying it will be a further 4 weeks).

My remaining idea is to get a cheap/used rim and tyre of a similar size (probably not identical because they are hard to come by) just to allow me to move the car home and then to Costco and then potentially keep this one for any future events. Will this work?

Damn pillars in car parks these days and tight spaces. Cracked the surround only - I am hoping that it’s an easy fix and need to find one

Car is a 2025 model seal performance delivered march this year. I’ve noticed people here posting versions well past mine. And I’m wondering why I can’t update. Help!

In everyone’s experience here (and I know that it can vary wildly), how long after contract / vehicle allocation did it take for your Seal to be delivered?

I signed for a white premium last week, contract came through today with no expected delivery date, but have all the relevant stock / vehicle identifiers too.

Hoping it’s quick (as I’m itching to get behind the wheel!) but if I have to suffer without it for a while longer, I guess that’s ok ahah

Hi.

I just sent my byd seal in for sunroof replacement to a panel shop. A branch fell on my sunroof as i was driving, and caused a big crack. I sent my car for repair through my insurance company, and the appointed repairer said this is their first time doing this job.

Anyway, I sent my car in and 3 days later picked it up, I noticed my car screen brightness is not adjusting to the sunlight as it did before. In the afternoon, I had to squint to look at my screen because it is so dim under the sunlight. The brightness is also constant throughout the day, and I felt that it is permanently in night mode now despite being daytime.

Also i noticed that the overhead component is a bit loose. I can fit my hand in easily into the top panel. I dont think it was like this before. My friend who also has a byd seal said he cant fit a finger in, much less the whole hand.

Also they cracked the sun visor clip, which they informed me when I collected my car and is arranging a replacement in two weeks.

Overall, I feel that the car is not refitted properly after my sunroof replacement. The problems are:

#1. The screen brightness is no longer adjusting to the sunlight automatically

#2. The overhead component is fitted loosely and there is a gap between it and the sunroof that can fit my hand in.

#3. The sun visor clip is damaged

What do you guys think? Is problem #1 likely caused by #2 because of ill-fitted roof. I am not sure where the sunlight sensor is located. Would appreciate any help i can get. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

EDIT: problem 1 is fixed thanks to you guys. Turned out my headlight is always on instead of auto. And this made my screen in permanent night mode.

Has anyone come up with a solution, or how do you manage, with the indicators always turning off too early?

I was just abused for "not indicating".
