Please help. My Audi A4s’ B8 Quattro brake calliper bolt is rounded and I cannot get it off. I tried heat m and tried to use a smaller wrench; it didn’t work. Also, a ratchet is not fitting because of the suspension parts. Please help I do not want to pay someone else to do this….

I've been hearing mixed opinions on keeping an audi after hitting 100k miles on the B9, im curious to see how everyone else's experience has been. My tires are basically end of life, and im not sure whether or not it's smart to spend about a grand if im going to sell it in a year or two.
My maintenance has been pretty well across the board, and also had my water pump replaced, so im not too worried, but once you see your radar with 100,000, it's just a fire waiting to be lit. For everyone else who has hit this range on the B9, what have you guys experienced, and what would you recommend? My concern is the transmission.
ill hear the gears change, and there's a small hiccup, but very subtle, so that's something im worried about, but dam these are clean, and I got a really good deal on this, so it'd be a shame to let it go, but with this economy, gotta do what you gotta do.
Bought my 2016 A4 a few weeks ago, it had this scratch already on it. I was going to leave it be but I would honestly like to have it repaired. Any idea what the cost would be? It’s a deep scratch, down to the metal. It’s right on top of the trunk, I can’t imagine how a scratch like that would even happen 😅

I recently bought a new set of 19” summer wheels for my car. These wheels will be used only for summer since I live in a state where it snows and I’ll be switching back to my all seasons around October.
As I understand, 255/35/19 is the sweet spot. However, I have seen people say that 235/35/19 is also a good size. I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinion on 255/35/19 vs 235/35/19. Ride feel, noise, comfort, etc. Remember, these tires would only be for summer and won’t be driven that much.
My car is a 21 A4 with sport suspension. TIA!
I have a 2014 Audi A4 B8.5 and I am about to make the big jump to stage 2. I obviously have looked at different downpipes and really want to run catless.
The only problem I face there is I live in a state where I have to pass emissions. Has anyone ran catless in a state like this? How did you do it?
O2 sensor spacers? Special tune?
Any help or suggestions would help!!

A4 2008 B8 S-Line Issues
I’ve had a high mileage A4 B8 S-Line for 6 months. I didn’t pay much for it as it’s really just for tip runs and nipping about.
There are a few small issues with it I’d like so solve and could do with some insights if anyone has any.
Here’s the issues and my current thoughts. I’m running it on a budget so will get my own tools out if possible before garage costs:
Very frustrating squeaking coming from the front pillars where I assume the airbags live? Not sure how to solve.
Heat comes from the windscreen clear heater, but not really from the normal heater mode. If this is a dash out problem, I’ll just live with it 😂
Wobble felt when in motion, regardless of in gear or not. I’m assuming wheel bearing(s) most likely culprit.
Sun visors have no ‘catch’ to latch the visors into. Is the small plastic latch section replaceable?
Suspension is very hard, likely shot. Might look for some lightly used parts to save on cost.
Yesterday I ticked off a couple of door actuators which had seized, and have front washer jets to swap out today.
Hi all I was being an idiot and talking to a friend. Curbed my rim kinda bad. I have a spare from an extra purchase. Should I replace it with the spare I have in the next two photos. It seems to have had rash that poorly fixed with sand paper or something. But no curb rash.
Troubleshooting misfire codes on all cylinders and P0171 (bank 1 lean) on a friend's 06 A4 Cabriolet 1.8t. My initial thoughts were a simple vacuum leak but this vehicle's vacuum system is more than complicated. Engine runs very rough at idle and eventually smooths out when warmed up.
I smoke tested and found leaks at the crank breather tube (it was broken off) and also at the hard plastic pipe from the 3 way tee below the intake manifold. I pulled the intake manifold and replaced the tube and ran new rubber hose with elbows and clamps and tested again, all good.
I am having trouble locating the actual PCV valve (if it has one).

I am wondering if the actual PCV is stuck open and this is causing a lean mixture at idle.

Edit: even when i open a door with the car off the fan starts so it’s definitely not normal.
For the past 2 days my cooling fan has kept running with the car off for a few minutes before turning off(also I think it usually doesn’t turn on with the car but it has started to). I live in Canada and it just went from like -2 to +15 and rainy so maybe it has something to do with the weather. Had the car for 2 years now and this is my first time with this happening. Anyone know what’s wrong or is this normal lol

I have a 2013 b8.5 a4 non-sline, and I was wondering where I can find a rear valance and front lip for these cars, as everything I found was either for the sline or from maxton designs, which is what the picture above is from. The problem with maxton is that everything seems out of stock and will not be available for a while. Just wanted to know where are other places I can get these from
My B8.5 from 2014 was really starting to get there with close to 240k Kilometers. What's funny is that of course 2014 was close to the release of the B9, which is why I got a good deal on the old one back then, and when the B9 came out, I immediately thought I liked it better. And in all honesty, due to the financial situation, I thought I'd have to switch to something inferior to the old A4 this time, and... well, this is what I ended up with. It's like the gods of locomotion are trying to tell me something.
Just did a coolant flush using this technique.
Drove for 20 mins to make everything hot, let it rest for another 20 mins so I could prepare the coolant mix and to more safely unscrew the cap and release the pressure in the system.
Then I removed the hose at the back of the coolant tank, the little nub on my hose was 11mm so I had bought a hose at the hardware store with an inner diameter of 10mm it slotted right over and was plenty secure.
Then I started the car with the climate control off, for the first few minutes nothing really came out, I waited and it started to flow. After it started to flow I turned on the heater to high and the fans to the lowest setting. It suddenly started to rapidly fill the coolant tank and it almost overflowed, I quickly turned off the engine and then it was quickly draining again, I started filling it up again to the max line. I turned on the engine once again and everything was fine and behaved as expected. (Maybe you start with the climate on hi, but then it takes longer for everything to reheat I guess) Not really exciting and not a deal breaker.
When everything was flowing and I was left with 1 Liter of coolant I turned of the engine, the water pump still kept flowing for 1-2 minutes so I was right in the money and I had nothing left but I was at the max line, but for the next time I will keep a larger reserve of around 2L. When everything stopped flowing I cloud reconnect the hose at the back of coolant tank.
In total I put in 10L and 10L came out for a 7.8L system, maybe it won’t be 100% fresh but it is good enough. Via this method you also don’t have any change of air getting in the system so that’s really cool!

Hi, im thinking of doing an 034 stage 1 tune on my engine and transmission.
Just curious if people have some experience (good or bad) with this tune. I would like my car to still remain reliable, efficient and fun ! From what I can tell this seems to be a pretty solid choice. Any thoughts are appreciated.
My daily checking in at 168,600. First contact wash and first wash at home since a paint correction and ceramic coating back in December. Winter was harsh on her (see here on steelies). But, CarPro Descale brought all my beading back. Not bad for 18 years and 96,500 miles of ownership.
