Why is Austrian tap water so much better than everywhere else?
I’ve been traveling around Europe for a while now, but nothing compares to the water here in Austria. Whether I’m in Vienna or a small village in Tyrol, the water from the tap tastes better than most bottled brands I’ve bought back home. I find myself carrying a reusable bottle everywhere just because I actually look forward to drinking it.
Is there a specific reason why the quality is so consistently high across the country, or am I just imagining it? Also, for the locals, is there a specific city or region where you think the water tastes the absolute best? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
