Age regression

Maybe this isn’t the right place for this convo…but I can’t help but pity her. This weird baby act she’s doing lately seems to be some sort of coping mechanism / trauma response as a result of being groomed and hypersexualized by that Nickelodeon creep. I’d actually be 100% sympathetic if she did it in private and didn’t shove it down the world’s throat. Like keep that shit to yourself. Is that mean of me? Like is it problematic and unsympathetic of me to be angry?

The "true" ari

I don't think we know who she truly is and she's trying to figure that out. This may be an unpopular opinion but I think My everything to thank u next is truly a pop star persona and is not "the real her" it was over the top and a marketing tactic. You need a brand to make it as a top pop star that will differentiate you from the rest. She achieved that and wants out. Imagine every phase you've ever been through was viewed by millions of people. Humans are allowed to change and grow and I feel like as fans we need to understand that she's not going to go back to dangerous woman or thank u next ari. Like seriously we will all feel a lot better mentally. Think about other artists who have been around for awhile, some of their albums or eras are flops and even their most dedicated fans will admit they missed the mark. So if you don't like this new era of Ari let yourself let go. I've always related to Ari also being a cancer myself. I've had phases where I tried to act like a baddie and like I don't care about anything but that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm soft, sensitive, care too much about everything and insecure about my image... this is the Ari I feel like people are forgetting exists deep down. I'm not saying you have to like this era of her and can't have concern for her wellbeing or judge her for her wrongdoings but if her own family and friends can't "fix" it then us as fans def can't. Let's learn to love and let go... (if you need to)

I can’t seem to let myself get excited for her new era because I was so critical of her personality being Glindafied ( I also not a fan of the Wicked era). I feel less of a fan or maybe I’ve just outgrown her. Anyone else going through this?

I realize that I only really like Ariana for her popstar music the catchy, mainstream pop songs she’s known for. I didn’t even listen to the Wicked soundtrack at all, which is exactly why I specifically said ‘popstar’ music. It feels like that’s the only version of her that still clicks with me. Like the fact that I don’t enjoy Ariana’s projects beyond her popstar era makes me feel like I’m not a real fan anymore. I adore her mainstream pop music, but when it comes to Wicked or anything outside that lane, I’m just not invested. It’s left me feeling disconnected and kind of guilty about calling myself a fan these days

the general consensus is, some feel like she shouldve respected the aesthetic of the era and gone back to the heavy glam look for this one photoshoot. others feel like she shouldnt have to and are basically shunning anyone with a differing opinion.. what do you guys think?

I think those little flowers featured in petal's visuals are chamomile

Here is chamomile's meaning. There are other types of flowers featured as well. What do you think?

I wholeheartedly believe that the Dangerous Woman launch solidifies something I've thought for a long time which is that: Ariana is stuck as Galinda (internally). She likely feels a lot of guilt due to the situation that happened during that time period and all that happened then and used unhealthy coping mechanisms when she was in that headspace (possibly restriction, extreme control, massive changes of appearance, mannerisms etc) that she had to use as she felt their was no other way. Overtime she's likely internalised that as her only form of feeling "safe" (as it would have felt protective then) and not known how else to manage with that guilt or evolve at all leading her to stay stuck. Also the character of Galinda for her, ironically or not, clearly resonated with her significantly and that's why she became so intertwined with galinda on and off screen. I do believe she needs to put in some real work to escape her caricature of Galinda as that is not her true self in every sense of the meaning and should just take some time away. On how this links to the rem launch: she is galinda masquerading as dangerous woman, not ariana referencing dangerous woman for a simple anniversary, this is evident in the fact that even though she is marketing a product to be sold as a different era, she's not even bothered to even slightly alter her makeup from her safe glinda look which is quite literally a different race than her 2016 self. This is at best lazy and at worst, clear stagnation of her as an artist. With respect, I've loved her past eras sm, understand she's faced some terrible things (as everyone does to a degree) and have even enjoyed some moments from the most recent era, but I do think she needs to be more transparent with her fans and not always just do things cause they want it and maybe just step back and go on a break and actually heal.

I think she is gonna sing: Moonlight, Into You, Dangerous Woman and Let Me Love You

But I would love to hear: Touch it and Jason's Songs

I was scrolling through her Instagram account and came across an old post from 2021. I was shocked by the number of likes, it was just a random dump. Also, the fact that her snark page is so popular got me thinking about it.

Eternal Sunshine (non-deluxe) is her least streamed album, along with Yours Truly, while Eternal Sunshine Deluxe ranks fourth, behind thank u next, My Everything, and Dangerous Woman.

And do I need to talk about the drama with Slater?

Anyway tell me what do you think

so i was in the car earlier and i decided to turn on a couple of songs from those albums, mainly my everything. and i just feel like im listening to ari in her element.. like this is the music she needs to be making! even during the yours truly anniversary performances it felt like she was enjoying herself. with es, i feel like she wasted her time there. shes too much of a powerhouse to waste her vocals on synth pop. really anything pre es feels like ari in her element.. i just pray petal sounds more like those first 2 albums or just gives us the mariah vibe like the leaks said. even though, based off the cover and photoshoots.. i dont think it will. idk this was just a random thought i had lol. i think we need to give them more appreciation

I saw people debating on here what percentage of Ariana's discography is about sex, so I got curious and decided to make a spreadsheet to chart it out and see if we can factually determine how much of her musical body of work is sex related. I use my time only earth only for the most important of things.

As a fan of Ariana since My Everything, even I was under the impression that a majority of her catalog was sex jams. It turns out this is a false impression of her work as a whole. The result of tracking and labeling her discography by my admittedly subjective interpretation of each song shows that LESS THAN HALF of her music is about sex. Most of the songs are about relationships and more songs mention sex, but about sex? Only ~32%!
