Troubleshooting Spool Gun Splatter - 1/8" Aluminum - Arccaptain MIG 205 Pro
I’m looking for some advice on my aluminum setup. I’m currently using an Arccaptain MIG 205 Pro with a spool gun to weld 1/8" aluminum, but I’m running into excessive splatter and inconsistent beads.
Current Settings & Gear:
Machine: Arccaptain MIG 205 Pro
Material: 1/8" Aluminum (cleaned with a dedicated stainless steel brush)
Wire: 5356 - .035" diameter
Gas: 100% Argon at 17 CFM
Polarity: DCEP
