If I do decide to do it, do you have any interesting what if ideas for me to do if I do it? Give me something interesting and juicy. I will rewatch the anime, possible read the novel as well, since I did watch it last in October last year, so I wanna refresh my memory of the anime. No need to walk on egg shells and to not spoil me, as I already completed the anime.

But anyway, leave some ideas, and whenever I do them, I'll post the videos here and you guys can watch them. (I'll send a link to my channel if interested.)

I’ve been thinking about the "Calamity" in Yomiyama North Middle School, and if you look at it through the lens of Chaos;Head’s Delusion Science, the entire plot of Another suddenly makes perfect scientific sense.
The Catalyst: The 1972 Synchro-Patch
In Another, the curse starts because the class of 1972 refused to accept Misaki’s death. They acted as though he was still in his seat. In SciADV terms, this is a Shared Delusion.
Because the entire class—and even the teacher—synchronized their observation of the "living" Misaki, they effectively turned Class 3 into a high-density observation field. They weren't just pretending; they were projecting a mental image so strong that they Realbooted Misaki back into reality for the graduation photo.
The "Extra" as a Glitch in the Dirac Sea
A standard Realboot creates matter from the Dirac Sea. However, the class of '72 tried to realboot someone who was already dead. This created a fundamental error in the local causality:
• The Ghost-Realboot: Because the "data" for Misaki was already marked as "dead" by the universe, he was realbooted as a Casualty.
• The Yearly Cycle: This original act of collective observation scarred the local space-time. Now, the world automatically tries to "fill the empty seat" every year by pulling a soul back from the dead.
• The Calamity: This is basically a Causality Error Correction. The presence of the "Extra" (a realbooted dead person) creates a massive imbalance. The "deaths" that follow are the universe's way of trying to compensate for an entity that shouldn't exist, leading to the brutal "accidents" we see.
Memory Manipulation vs. Perception
In Chaos;Head, we know that powerful delusory fields can overwrite people's memories and perceptions (similar to how people can't "see" certain things or remember the "Extra").
In Another, the fact that people’s documents, memories, and photos change to accommodate the Extra student is identical to how a Realbooted object gains its own "history" and "presence" in the eyes of observers. The "Curse" isn't magic—it’s a localized, runaway delusory field that stabilized into a permanent phenomenon.

TL;DR: The class of 1972 accidentally performed a massive, unplanned Realboot. Because they were "observing" a dead person as living, they glitched the local reality, and now the world forces an "Extra" into existence every year to satisfy that original shared delusion, killing others to balance the scales.

What do you guys think? Does the "Calamity" fit the definition of a runaway Psychokinetic phenomenon?
