I built a new anime streaming site (AnimeLibre)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a new anime site called AnimeLibre and I’d like to share it with this community. The site uses the AniList and MyAnimeList APIs to pull all the series info and metadata, ensuring everything is accurate and up to date.

Here is what you can do on the platform right now:

Watch & Discuss: Stream episodes and leave comments to discuss them.

Downloads: Download episodes so you can watch them offline whenever you want.

Resume Playback: It saves your watch history so you can pick up exactly where you left off.

Custom Watchlists: Create your own saved lists to organize your shows.

A quick heads-up: For now, the site is focused only on series from the current season. I’ll be expanding the catalog and adding older shows in the near future!

Check it out here: https://animelibre.com/en

Hope you enjoy it!

Something I wanna say

Since the whole anime site taking down saga has been happening most of the popular animes well are gone, but I like to think that maybe the people who are hosting the sites may think of making another site similar to the old sites but different but who knows we might just wait

I have been seeing more anime stories lately that seem to be fully or mostly made with AI and I am honestly a bit curious about it.

Why are people choosing to make entire stories using AI now?

I get the appeal itis fast, cheap and probably easier for solo creators. But at the same time, it sometimes feels like the storytelling loses that human feel in characters and emotions.

Do you think this is just a tool people are experimenting with, or is it slowly replacing more traditional creative work? Would love to hear what others think.

Would it be possible for Tubi or any other FAST streaming services to pick up more anime content to the platform? I know some anime websites are shutting down.

I heard some bad news about AniKai being shut down. It's kinda hard to find any kind of anime on other websites. Once it shuts down, more will come up. I've been using Tubi for several years, and I sometimes watch the 1990s and 2000s during my spare time. I'm hoping that Tubi will bring more anime content. At least some new ones.

Anime Downloaders

Anybody know any good websites that not only stream anime but also support downloading?

I always download anime episodes and send them to my laptop to watch through there but now since 'Anilab' has also been shutdown (I think, it's not allowing me to download) I can't watch anime anymore 😭

I made StreamNyaa to make anime browsing way easier than using raw Nyaa listings directly.

Instead of digging through a messy list of torrents, I wanted one clean place where you can discover anime, check release schedules, open anime detail pages, search torrent results, and even try torrent streaming in the browser.

Though the third party torrent streaming contains ad which i have not added it comes with that api; i suggest you use adblocker for it. Also if Nyaa ever gets taken down i will update it from other source so it will still work without. A easier way if you want to watch it immediately without waiting for download to finish you can use VLC; it open the downloading file so you can watch it immediately. in this way no additional compression is used so the anime quality will higher than when streamed online.

it’s features:

  • cleaner anime-focused layout
  • anime pages with posters, genres, episode info, and details
  • release schedule for currently airing shows with automatic time conversion according to the users local time.
  • easier torrent search around anime titles
  • better mobile browsing
  • quick magnet/download options
  • torrent streaming support for compatible files
  • less clutter when you just want to find a release fast
  • No logins; everything is stored client side.
  • For mobile users use app like Flud to access and download the torrent files.

Small note: the streaming player may show ads from the external source/provider, since I don’t control third-party players. Some Ai was used for designing and other things.
