Currently 84lbs at 9 months old 😭🥹 not a single coherent thought in that noggin
I got my girl back in August 12 weeks old. She was a little underweight, according to the vet and I noticed after about three weeks of going in my grass, her stomach was red and inflamed.
When I took her to the vet, they said she possibly have an allergy to progress. It should get better when she gets older and she’s not so close to it.
She gave me some antibiotics and it went away in days.
Fast forward to a month and a half ago a friend of mine took her outback the next day she came in and I noticed bumps start a form on her left and right side. These bumps eventually got really itchy and she started scratching them really bad. Remind you she’s been in that grass hundreds of times. So we thought she got in the poison ivy and we tried to treat poison ivy. It did not get any better.
She’s been on a raw full diet since I had her the main ingredient in her diet was ground turkey then we moved up to chicken with the bone in it. I always suspected that she may have a chicken allergy just from what I read, but we never seen any reaction to it.
But since those bumps started, it has progressed into the pictures that I showed you. She comes from a Merle litter and she was the only solid one, so I thought maybe that was coming into her color. But her stomach was so red and inflamed that I knew it had to be more
I took her to the vet. They gave me some antibiotic spray and antibiotic pills, and they gave her an allergy shot. Her stomach definitely cleared up, except for there’s some discoloration on her inner thighs that hasn’t gone away.
I took her back to the vet two days ago and me and the vet decided to try the food elimination because I can’t afford the allergy test right now. So I removed the chicken from her diet and I’m remaking her meals with ground beef and now I cooked the beef.
My question is has anybody seen a situation like this as far as her skin?
Has anybody experienced it and if so, how did you get over it or did you?
Does anybody know another route to go for the allergy test that’s not so expensive, because I really would like to know for sure and not keep guessing since I see that she’s allergy prone.
I’ve had several bullies and Pitbulls. This is my first that I’ve ever had with any allergies and I’m really not knowing how to handle it and it’s becoming way more expensive than I can afford.
I’ll be researching every day on a different things that I could do or try to help her but it’s hard. She smells really funky by the way, like corn chips and I know they say that’s a sign of a yeast but Lord have mercy. How do you get rid of it? She’s always been a coach Doug and she likes to be loved on, but because she smells so bad, I have not been able to let her just be all over the furniture lately.
I’m just looking for some answers. I know I’ve taken her to the vet. I know most people say the vet is where to start. I’m doing everything that the vet said, but I just wanted to see if anybody else experienced this that can give me some hope that this too shall pass.
Disclaimer: I am not looking for medical advice (I am working closely either her Vet), just looking for anybody else that went through it so I know she can look her old self again.
Winnie 💖 my dogs had such a good time playing with her. Her mom LOVES the pictures
We adopted this sweet boy yesterday and have not heard him bark yet.we have had him for over 24 hours. He’s amazing with the kids and is super laid back. Does anyone else have this issue?
This is his approach to most activities. Oh, a mundane situation? Let's make it weird for no reason! Hmm, an inanimate object? That's stupid, I should dance around it to assert dominance! Maximum intensity always💪💪💣🙆
Second clip included to demonstrate that he does know how the puzzle works, he just doesn't care. Is this normal?🐸
