I desperately want to change the blinds but they’ll have to stay. It’s a rental, after all. Portland, Oregon.

I had to back the ladder into the neighbouring flat to get it up. Worth it.

The wife and I decided that we wanted a relaxing space with a lot of plants. We decided to use the front room of our house that really isn't used for much.

Moved to San Francisco, a few months ago with my partner :) found this apartment in a building constructed in 1901! first time we finally are stable enough to live together and furnish our first place. Having fun with smart bulbs !

Thrifted/marketplace/DIY finds:

- The table expands from round to oval with two removable leaves. We sanded it down and painted it white.

- the wicker chairs are “vintage” IKEA from the 90s

-plates were all vintage finds

- I made up some faux Roman shades with some fun fabric

Thrilled with how this space has come along over the last year and a half since we moved in, it makes me so happy!

I built this space around my grandmother’s velvet chairs that I inherited last year. Everything else kind of grew from there. So happy with how it came together! PS, don’t judge the dog hair, we love our husky and he loves to lay in the chairs and look out the window. 😝

Hey everybody. Just wanted to share with you some pictures of my corridor I took today, after handing this painting I bought last month.I took advantage of the sunny weather to make it look at it's best !

Some may say "too white & empty", but i've always been a "less is more" king of guy, so i'm pretty happy to share it with you !

slowly putting this room together over the past few weeks and wanted it to feel calm and a little more nature-inspired. the bed frame is from ikea, the bedding is from target, and we’re still planning to add bedside tables, a warmer rug, and maybe a few plants to bring the woodland look together. really happy with how peaceful the room is starting to feel, especially in the morning light. i think the mural wallpaper is from Jovorie.

Soft neutrals, clean lines, and elegant textures come together to create a calm and luxurious corner that feels both modern and timeless. Added a textured wallpaper to bring in more depth and warmth, and kept the styling minimal with the mirror and console for a clean finish. 🤍

Selling it now, so figured I’d share a few photos for posterity. :(

Tried to turn my apartment into a calm, hotel-like space.

Kept things simple and built most of it in using plywood, with exposed concrete to balance it out. I’m not a designer or architect, just enjoy this as a hobby, I did the design and worked with a carpenter to build all the plywood structures.

The whole space is just one room, with divisions that don’t actually touch the ceiling, so it has an open concept with clearly differentiated areas. Cleaned up the ceiling, and some drywall work, and added this black carpet to make it a bit more museum like. In my photos my workspace is where the bedrooms is supposed to be and vice versa, but that's because I like big monitors! Also wanted to display some of the artifacts I've picked up through some years of travel, yeah maybe it's a bit too much.

Last three photos are pre-remodel, the place had great bones!

The reflection is actually wallpaper from my bedroom.

That’s all. We were able to get my FIL to help install the new toilet and sink. I think this one is so satisfying because it’s so tiny and was such an easy little project. It makes such a huge difference! It’s completely my style.

My last post was at night and someone asked why show the apartment at night only. So this morning when doing some chores I captured some of my fav sights. The images are just my living room and office.
