Alpina XD4 wheels
I recently sold my XD4 and it was production number 001, so the very first one.
The new owner did not want the 22" wheels and said I can keep them if I lower the vehicle price. (I said "what the hell.")
Anyway, I decided to clean them up and list them online and they fetch quite a fair bit in Europe.
The first person that came to view them stated that they have no numbers on the front wheels, which means they are fake... I said that is not possible as I bought the vehicle with the wheels on from BMW.
Upon further inspection of the front wheels, I can see there are no markings whatsoever and it's leading me to believe they "might" not be genuine.
I never had any issues with TÜV which is also strange.
Can anyone chime in and tell me if they have experienced anything similar?
The BMW Alpina Vision concept has been leaked ahead of its debut and it appears to be based on the 8 Series. The rear of the car has been completely redesigned and now features connected LED taillights, a reworked bumper with quad exhausts and a subtle diffuser.
BMW Alpina’s new… GT?
BMW Alpina’s new car looks like it’s going to be a Coupe GT. Do I spy with my little eye: frameless doors? #bmw #bmwalpina
Lucie (B8 4.6 Touring #014) on BaT
My old car is on BaT! I imported the car to the UK in 2002 and sold it to Jon Pollard in 2004. Quite a machine, will be interesting to see how much it goes for… a lot more than I spent, nearly 25 years ago, I’m sure.
Just came back from a road trip to South Tyrol and honestly… I think I finally understand the whole BMW ALPINA thing.
On the way down: effortless cruising. Long-distance comfort, quiet cabin, just eating up kilometers on the Autobahn like it’s nothing. Smooth, relaxed, almost boring in a good way.
Then the mountain roads hit.
Suddenly the same car turns into something completely different. Tight steering, planted in corners, actually fun to push. Those passes in South Tyrol are basically a playground. And the sound — calm, subtle hum when you’re just rolling along, but the moment you step on it, it properly wakes up and starts to roar. Never gets old.
What really surprised me though is the balance. It’s not trying to be a hardcore sports car or a soft cruiser—it somehow does both without feeling compromised.
Also, random bonus: managed to fit 4 boxes of wine in the back for the return trip :)
Came home last night from removing my appendix and this is what the lady bought me, looking through these should numb the pain hopefully.
